    Summary

    • Atacamite is one of the rarest crafting resources in Subnautica 2.
    • The resource is found deep underwater near the Control Room.
    • You need the Sonic Resonator and an upgraded vehicle to collect it.

In Subnautica 2, Atacamite is one of the rarest resources that you will need for several advanced crafting recipes. Due to the lack of limited spawn locations, collecting it can be difficult.

Additionally, the material is found at such extreme depths that a standard Tadpole vehicle cannot safely reach the area without upgrades. If you are unable to retrieve Atacamite in this survival title, here is a detailed guide to help you out.

As mentioned earlier, Atacamite is among the rarest resources in the game. To collect it, you need to head to the ocean floor near the Control Room. Follow these steps:

    • Begin by travelling to the Power Plant.
    • Once there, face toward the Control Room and prepare for a deep dive. Since the resource is located at an extreme depth, using an upgraded vehicle is highly recommended.
    • Push your vehicle to its maximum depth limit before exiting.
    • After leaving the vehicle, continue descending manually toward the seabed.
    • Once you pass the second Angel Comb, you will eventually spot a green-colored crystal formation. This crystal is Atacamite that can be found at a depth of around 460 meters.
    • Move close to it and use the Sonic Resonator to mine the resource.
