    Summary

    • You can meet and befriend Sableye in Pokémon Pokopia.
    • However, this Pokémon will not be available all the time.
    • You will have to wait for an event to occur to meet it.

You can meet over 300 unique Pokémon in Pokémon Pokopia. If you are a fan of the small Sableye, like I am, then you might have already tried searching for it by making various habitats. Unfortunately, you will be unsuccessful in this attempt, as Sableye is not currently available in the game. However, there is a trick you can use to obtain Sableye in Pokémon Pokopia.

Note: You cannot get Sableye in Pokémon Pokopia at the moment. However, this method will show you how to change the date/time on your Nintendo Switch 2, so you can easily get this Pokémon.

Can You Get Sableye in Pokémon Pokopia?

The answer is yes, but not yet. Let me explain further. Sableye cannot normally be seen or interacted with in the game. However, some players online discovered that if you set your Nintendo Switch 2 console date manually beyond a certain point, then a special event starts.

This ‘time travel’ method is similar to how players were able to access the first event in the game: ‘More Spores for Hopip.’

Disclaimer: If you do change the system date/time manually, you can play the event early. However, you might get locked out of the event when it launches normally on its usual date and time.

You can get Sableye in Pokémon Pokopia by setting your Nintendo Switch 2 date and time to April 30 (or beyond). The event will actually run from April 30, 2026, to May 13, 2026. Therefore, you can access it normally during that period, or speed up your console by changing the date.

During this event, you will have the option to get Sableye and other camping-themed items as well. So, keep a lookout for all of these. You will likely be unable to obtain the Dark/Ghost-type Pokémon once the event is over.

How To Change Date and Time on Your Nintendo Switch 2

Here’s how you can change the date and time on your Nintendo Switch 2 console:

    • Go to the Home page on your Switch 2.
    • Go through the System Settings page and scroll to the Date and Time section.
    • Turn off Synchronize Clock Using the Internet.
    • Now, manually change the date to sometime between April 30 and May 13. Ideally, you want it to be closer to April 30, so that you have the most time to complete the event.

Once the date and time changes have been applied, open the game, and play through the event to get Sableye. You can also use this method to speed up or completely skip building times in the game.

    FAQs

    Is Sableye in Pokémon Pokopia?

Yes, this Pokémon is present in the game. However, you cannot get it traditionally until the event starts.

Can you get Sableye once the event has ended?

Sableye is an event-exclusive Pokémon, and so, you will likely be unable to get it until the event is over. However, this event might occur again later down the line. So, keep your fingers crossed.

Should you be worried about ‘time travelling’?

Normally, no. This method usually works fine. However, you will want to change the date/time back to normal before playing other games. This is because changing the console date/time might mess with your auto-saves. Therefore, it is advised to make manual saves to be careful.
