Pokopia – All Legendary Pokémon and How To Encounter Them (WIP)

By Pranshu AryanMarch 5, 20266 Mins Read

    Summary

    • You can find lots of Legendary Pokémon in Pokopia.
    • Most of these are tied to Important Requests.
    • A couple of Legendary Pokémon in Pokopia, though, have random spawns.

The new spin-off Pokémon game, Pokémon Pokopia, features several Legendary Pokémon, as seen in the anime. We found some of these tied to the main story, while others were more random. Regardless, each encounter felt special in its own way. If you are also looking to encounter all the Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Pokopia, then look no further.

NOTE: This guide is a Work-in-Progress, and we will keep updating it as we discover more Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Pokopia.

The Legendary Pokémon you can meet in Pokopia are:

    • Ho-Oh and Lugia
    • Kyogre
    • Volcanion
    • Raikou, Suicune, and Entei
    • Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno
    • Mewtwo
    • Mew

How To Encounter Ho-Oh and Lugia

These two are more unconventional and random encounters compared to the others on this list. We have no choice but to wait for them to spawn above our heads. They will drop:

    • Ho-Oh: Rainbow Feather
      • This is a burning feather, so use Water Gun on it and pick it up.
    • Lugia: Silver Feather
      • This feather is surrounded by a small storm, so use Cut to disperse the storm and grab it.

The best indicator I have found is checking for a roar in-game, which is a clear audio cue that Ho-Oh or Lugia has spawned somewhere on the map.

Update: I have found more information about actually meeting with both of these Legendary Pokémon in Pokopia. For Moltres, you will need to make the Clear Bell. Meanwhile, Lugia needs the Tidal Bell.

Next, just wait for them to show up like usual, and ring the correct bell, to make them land and talk to you. However, there is a condition you must clear for this interaction to take place. You must have met the three Legendary Beasts to encounter Ho-Oh on the ground. Meanwhile, the Legendary Birds are the condition for meeting Lugia.

The details to meet all six of these will be mentioned below.

    How To Encounter Kyogre

You can encounter this Legendary Pokémon after finishing the Yawn Up a Storm! Important Request. Once you have freed Onix, return to the beach where you found Magikarp. Kyogre will be waiting for your return. Talk to the Legendary Pokémon to have a fun bit of conversation with it. It will leave after the chat.

    How to Encounter Volcanion

The associated request with this Legendary Pokémon is called Time To Party! You have to help Chef Dente and DJ Rotom throw a fun party. After finishing the curry (which can take some time), you must speak to talk to Professor Tangrowth. This will trigger a cutscene and show Volcanion appear on top of the volcano, which is honestly quite fitting.

Climb to the top of the volcano and interact with the Fire/Water type. Come back down and witness the Legendary Pokémon’s equally legendary fireworks show. This will also unlock recipes for a cannon and fireworks.

How To Encounter Raikou, Suicune, and Entei

You will have to head over to Bleak Beach and take on Trubbish’s Important Request: Brighten Things Up! to encounter this Legendary Pokémon. We have to power up the lights in the area, and once we are near completion, return to Mosslax.

Here, you will encounter Raikou, who will express its shock at you being able to light up the entire town on your own. It will depart after the short conversation, leaving you with nothing but a stunned Mosslax and a Pokedex entry.

Update: Apart from this, you can also befriend the three Legendary Beasts if you go to the Dream Islands. Each Pokémon Doll will take you to a different island, which will have a different Legendary Beast:

    • Entei: Use the Arcanine Doll to enter the Volcanic Dream Island.
    • Raikou: Use the Pikachu Doll to enter the Ocean Dream Island.
    • Suicune: Use the Eevee Doll to enter the Wasteland Dream Island.

At each island, find elemental walls that you can break in underground locations. The beasts will be located behind these walls.

How To Encounter Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno

You will first need to head to Palette Town. Here, you can find building kits that will make the altar needed to meet all the Legendary Birds. There is one altar for each of the birds.

    • Moltres: Altar of Flame
    • Zapdos: Abandoned Powerplant
    • Articuno: Freezing Chambers

These are all huge structures, and require significant resources to be built. So, you should hold off on making these until later into the game.

    How To Encounter Mewtwo

You need to rebuild the Skyland building 4F (fourth floor) as part of the Rebuild the Huge Building Request. Once that is done, you will hear a mysterious voice speak to you. Tangrowth will direct you towards the top of the building (but that’s where you are likely going to go anyway).

Once you reach the top, a Master Ball will shake and let Mewtwo out to talk with you. He will answer some questions about the disappearance of humans and leave mysteriously, like he always does.

    How To Encounter Mew

Mew is likely the hardest Pokémon to find in Pokopia. You will find Mysterious Slates randomly while digging various glowing blocks in the game. Once you have collected 27 Mysterious Slates, you are ready.

Then, you can head underground into a blocked off area in the Withered Wastelands. This will contain a Unown Puzzle. Place the Mysterious Slates into this grid, and you can finally meet Mew.

    FAQs

How to encounter Ho-Oh and Lugia in Pokémon Pokopia?

They both have a random chance of appearing above you based on the weather. Ho-Oh only appears in sunny weather, while Lugia appears during storms or cloudy weather.

Will there be more Legendary Pokémon added in the future?

For now, we have no information regarding more Legendary Pokémon being added to the game, either through events or DLCs.
