Here are the best teams you should use to reach Master Ball:

    • Mega Charizard Y and Mega Floette Team
    • Tyranitar Sandstorm Team
    • Mega Scovillain Spicy Spray Team

This team has two main drivers, which can be supported by a plethora of strong Pokémon. Mega Charizard Y is used to set up weather with its Drought ability upon Mega Evolution. Moreover, Mega Floette with Fairy Aura can also be a deadly sweeper.

However, the rest of this team is nothing to be scoffed at. Basculegion, Kingambit, and Aerodactyl are all staples in high-ranked competitive play. Basculegion is one of the best Water-type attackers due to its Adaptability ability. Meanwhile, Aerodactyl can be immensely useful with its Rock Slide flinch chances on both Pokémon. Lastly, Kingambit is the counter to Intimidate/Parting Shot plays.

    Tyranitar Sandstorm Team

Here is how to make the strongest Tyranitar Sandstorm team:

    VolcaronaFlame BodyGiga DrainQuiver DanceHeat WaveProtect
    DragoniteMultiscaleDragon ClawTailwindIce SpinnerProtect

Sandstorm is arguably not as good as rain or sunny weather. However, this team still shines due to its good synergy and strong moves. Tyranitar can keep setting up Sandstorm whenever it switches in and out of battle. To add to this, Excadrill is unaffected by any damage dealt by this Sandstorm.

Apart from this, Pokémon like Sinistcha are great for doubles battles, since they draw attacks to themselves. Dragonite lets you set up Tailwind to easily outspeed the competition, while Volcarona’s Flame Body lets you further deal chip damage in addition to the Sandstorm. Lastly, Milotic is a counter pick for Intimidate, since it raises its Special Attack if its Attack is lowered.

    BasculegionSwift SwimLiquidationLast RespectsAqua JetProtect
    Mega AerodactylUnnerveRock SlideTailwindWide GuardProtect

This team was used by former World Champion and popular streamer Wolfey to immense success. Kingambit, Basculegion, and Aerodactyl are all commonly found in high-level matchups. Archaludon works great in the rain, which is set up by Pelipper’s Drizzle. This lets it output Electro Shot without any charge-up duration.

However, Mega Scovillain is undoubtedly a major part of the team since it burns the enemy whenever it is damaged by any attack. Moves like Rage Powder can also make opponents hesitate, fearing their attacks will be redirected and leave them burned.

    FAQs

    Does every Pokémon need Protect?

Of course, the move is not necessary, but it is greatly appreciated by almost any Pokémon, as there are very few counters to Protect, and it lets you test the waters to find out if the opponent has a good response to your Pokémon.

What are some other viable teams for Pokémon Champions Season M-2 Ranked Battle Meta?

A Mega Gengar Perish Song trap team is also highly effective in the right hands. However, this team is generally considered to have a very high level of skill needed to use it. Thus, it does not see use amongst most players.
