Once you arrive at the Myst’s Tavern in Pangzhen, you get a host of side quests, like in any hub area for an action RPG game. When interacting with the several NPCs here, you will pick up The Star Performer quest – and it is only through this that you will be able to unlock a specific section of the Huang Manor Crossroads area.
This section has, among other things, one of the Quick Hand Zhang Treasures and an accessory. It also helps, that the story behind the quest is a nice, short, bittersweet one – not unlike A Puppet’s Wooden Heart that you would have completed in the Village of Lu.

Starting The Star Performer Side Quest
Speak to the Leading Opera Actress at the hub area in Pangzhen to start The Star Performer quest. This hub area opens up once you reach the tavern with blue lanterns, after defeating Cavalrybane, Elite Shadow Warden. This boss fight is on the straight path from Huang Manor Crossroads, and is unmissable.
Once you enter the tavern, and go out to the back, give the pots a couple of swings, and it will reveal a lever. This leads you to the Myst’s Tavern Crane bell, and from there to the NPC hub area.
Here, speak to the Leading Opera Actress, who is on the right of Shopkeeper Niu, who hands you the Huang Manor Key. She has a request to see her dance fan one last time. However, the item is in the locked Tiangxiang Pavilion, and the only one who has a key is the doorman.
Fortunately, she know that the doorman can be lured with the smell of face powder by burning some in the censer down the alley. She then gives you the Leading Actress’s Rouge.

With that, exit the Tavern from the main entrance, and take a right down the alley. Here, as you pass through, you will see a sign to interact, with an Incense burner on a table. You will get the option to place the leading opera singer’s makeup.
This will make a few enemies spawn, take them out to get the Tianxiang Pavilion Key.
Tianxiang Pavilion Key – Where to use & Rewards
Now, go to the area with all the benches laid out, and on its left will be a carpeted entrance to the Tianxiang Pavilion. Use the key and enter. Get rid of all enemies on the ground floor, to get the Tainted Crystal Shard at the back.
Reward 1: Tiger Paperweight (Quick Hand Zhang Treasure Item)
Take the stairs, and clear out the enemies on this level. Get the 2 Tainted Crystal Shards. Go all the way round to the other end of this corridor, and you will be able to enter the room with the green chest – containing the 1st treasure for Quick Hand Zhang for Pangzhen – Tiger Paperweight.
Reward 2 – Dancer’s Ribbon
Behind the room that you entered to get the treasure, there will be a ladder to the next level. Take that, clear the enemies, and then loot the golden chest on your left to get Dancer’s Ribbon – Weapon Soul Tempering Material.
Now, go to the other end, get the Refined Indigo Crystal, Traversal Talisman, and interact with the performer on stage to get the Tattered Dance Fan.
Reward 3 – Dance Fan
Return to the Opera Singer, and hand over the fan, and she can now be at peace. This ends the quest, and you get the Dance Fan accessory as the final reward.
