Like in Crimson Forest, and in the Weeping Creek Valley, the Village of Lu also holds its own set of collectibles and upgrade materials, including Amber Shards. However, unlike the previous two regions, one of the 4 Sha-Chi Amber Shards is permanently missable – it’s not just not on the main path – but it is in an area, that once you move out – becomes permanently inaccessible.
Thus, if you are someone who is looking to 100% the game, and get the trophy for all Amber Shards, this is the one you have to be most careful for. Here are the locations for all, including the missable Sha-Chi Amber Shards in the Village of Lu in Phantom Blade Zero
Sha-Chi Amber Shard #1
Start from the Well of Three Puppets Bell, and go to the left to see a ledge over a stream. Here, jump down and go to the right.
Take out the enemies, and interact with the Villager Holding his Wife. Move ahead, and interact with the Memory Flower. Come back, and interact with the Villager once again. Once the conversation is complete, you will receive Amber Shard # 1 for the Village of Lu.
You should also go to the other end of the stream to get the Firefly’s Memory Flower – one of 6 such ones located across the region.
Sha-Chi Amber Shard # 2
The location, and the steps to get Sha-Chi Amber Shard #2 in the Village of Lu, are exactly the same for getting Firefly’s Memory Flower #5. Both of these are side by side, and refer our guide here on all Firefly’s Memory Flower locations, and refer to the 5th entry here. Follow the path mentioned there to get Sha-Chi Amber Shard # 2.
I would also highly recommend to complete getting all 6 Firefly’s Memory Flowers as well. These unlock a secret boss, and a powerful Phantom Edge – one of the 7 weapons in the Village of Lu.
Sha-Chi Amber Shard # 3
When you reach the Survivors’ Courtyard bell. Exit the hub area, and look up to see a house with red-lit lanterns on its entrance. Here, just before you enter this house, there will be another narrow passage that you can jump across.
Follow the passage, and on the right, is the chest with Amber Shard # 3 for the Village of Lu.
Sha-Chi Amber Shard # 4 (Permanently Missable)
When you finally defeat Mu Xiaokui at the end of the region at the Lakeside bell, before making your way back, look towards the large tree. Move in that direction, and you will see a chest. Open the chest to get the last Amber Shard, which then completes all 4 and gets you the permanent increase in Sha-Chi by 10%.
If you don’t, once you take the elevator down, it collapses, and there is no way of going back up.
