The Village of Lu in Phantom Blade Zero has 10 accessories for you to find. Some are on the main chapter path, a couple are easily missable, and for others, you have to complete side quests to be able to get them. All these count towards area completion, and come with attributes that are super useful – ranging from permanent health increases, to helping out with summons damage and duration.
In this article, I have put up all details for the 10 accessories – locations, where to find, and the stats for each of these, in the order that you are most likely to come across them as you progress the story. While all can be done in any order, there is one specific one that needs you select a specific answer to an option presented to you, else you miss that accessory forever.
#1 Jewel’s Knot
Increases HP by 15%
How to get:
You get this from a chest next to Jewel, on the main path immediately after completing Snake’s Reflection main mission.
#2 Spirit Returning Broth
Uses: 3 | Increases Guard Break by 10% for 30 seconds, and restores 20% HP.
How to get:
Start from the Well of the Three Puppets bell. From here, take the left, up the steps. After the first set of steps, there will be a path on the left. Look for a cart lying on the side. Here, there will be a house that you can climb into; and a ladder in one of the rooms. Descend using the ladder, and defeat the enemy to get the Spirit Returning Broth Medicine.
#3 Mother’s Talisman
Restores 10% HP when guard is broken.
How to get:
From the Well of the Three Puppets bell, take the steps to the top to arrive at a house as shown in the image above. Defeat the enemy to get the Mother’s Talisman.
#4 Forbidden Concoction
Uses: 2 | Increases Phantom Edge damage by 10% for 15 seconds, and restores 20% HP.
How to get:
Start from the Well of the Three Puppets bell. Go straight ahead through the gate that you would have opened. Here, break through the barrier with your Dread Axe, and enter the lake. Stick to the left, and go up the area with all the candles. This will then take you to the Forbidden Concoction Medicine.
#5 Livingwood Talisman
Bleed and life-draining effects are 50% effective against Puppets and Golden Bodies.
How to get:
Start from the Smuggler’s Treasure Cellar bell, and use the rope to descend down onto the enemies.
After taking them out, go straight ahead to see a ladder. Take that, and on the left, will be a golden chest with the Livingwood Talisman.
#5 Arrowward
Reduces ranged damage and Sha-Chi depletion by 20%.
How to get:
You get the Arrowward accessory on handing over the Thief’s Manual to The Wounded Thief just ahead of Smuggler’s Tunnel Entrance bell. To have the Thief’s Manual with you, you should have done the following:
- Spoken to the Old Man Gen at the beginning of Village of Lu to get the Leave No One Alive quest
- Return to the Thieves’ Camp at the Crimson Forest, and defeated all enemies there, specifically the one below the Quick Hand Zhang’s location in the camp.
#6 Agarwood Prayer Beads
Reduces recovery time from Guard Broken by 15%.
How to get:
To get the Agarwood Prayer Beads, you need to have done the following:
- Like in case of Arrowwood, speak to Old Man Gen to update the Leave No One Alive side quest
- Travel to the Outpost in Weeping Creek Valley, and kill all enemies – specifically, a monk enemy who drops the Prayer Beads story item
- Speak to the Monk at the Survivors’ Courtyard hub area in the Village of Lu
- Select ‘ I don’t believe’, and hand over the Prayer Beads
- This, then gets you the Agarwood Prayer Beads accessory.
#7 A Puppet’s Wooden Heart
Increases summons duration by 25%.
How to get:
Complete A Puppet’s Wooden Heart side quest to get this accessory. You should start looking out for this once you arrive at the Temple of Blue Fireflies bell, as part of the main story progression. If you have collected all 6 Firefly Memory Flowers, it is here, at the exit of the Temple, that you will jump down to fight a secret boss and get one of the 7 weapons and Phantom Edges in the Village of Lu.
#8 Fine Thread
Increases damage and Sha-Chi depletion by summons by 50%.
How to get:
Complete the Village of Lu treasure requests for Quick Hand Zhang to get the Fine Thread accessory, and goes brilliantly well with A Puppet’s Wooden Heart accessory.
Treasure 1: Start from the Well of Three Puppets, and go left, up the stairs, till you arrive at a house with red-lit lanterns as shown in the image above. Enter the house, progress through it and you will open a room with a lot of puppets. Kill all of them and loot the chest to get Wedding Candles.
Treasure 2: Start from The Lady Grounds bell after defeating Bi Yuan, take the house on the right, and you will reach the chest with the Unveiled Statue.
Treasure 3: Just outside the Survivors’ Courtyard, on its left, look for a hole in the ground that you can use a rope to climb down to. Here, you will get the chest with White Jade Twins.
#9 Remnant Spark Cage
Triggering a Phantom Edge follow up attack has a 33% chance to restore 1 Remnant Spark.
How to get:
You get the Remnant Spark Cage accessory from Lu’s Wine Cellar – and for that, you need the Village of Lu Cellar Key.
From the Puppet Testing Grounds Crane bell, after defeating Mu Xiaokui, make your way to the right, kill the enemy to unblock the Red Threads on the left path, and get the Tunnel Cage Key.
With that done, take the left path till you come to a Thief locked in a cage, and exchange the Tunnel Cage Key for the Village of Lu Cellar Key.
Make your way to the Smuggler’s Treasure Cellar bell, and go to the back where there is a ladder. Take that ladder down, and here, in a golden chest to your left, will be the Remnant Spark Cage.
