While exploring the mining quarry – the final section in Chapter 2 in Valor Mortis, you would have noticed blue nodes, which look like something that can be used to traverse. However, at this time, you don’t have that skill unlocked.
You get this in Chapter 3: Rendezvous, and once unlocked, it is worth paying a visit again to this section, as it gives you a Ferrofluid Power Upgrade to increase health replenished when chugging from the Flask. The path to get there, though obvious, is complicated by devilishly sinister enemy placements.
Here is how to get through the platforming section defeating enemies, and getting the Ferrofluid Power Upgrade in the Mining Quarry in Valor Mortis.
Blue Nodes in the Quarry Area In Chapter 2 in Valor Mortis

Take the elevator that you had unlocked straight ahead from the Lantern.

Grapple across to the other side using the two points.

Pull down the crate and jump on it before it goes up again. Get down on the platform.

Ignore the Carrion enemies, and use the Grapple to get a Plunge attack on the Rifleman straight ahead.

Hide behind the crates as the Rifleman on your right shoots, then while he is preparing his next shot, run up to him across the narrow board and take him, + the Carrion behind him out.

There will be a Rifleman on your right, with a Grapple that can swing you across to the platform he is on. Do exactly that in between the shots he fires, and do a Plunge attack.
Now, this is where it gets tough. You will see a Swordsman on the other side above you. On his right is another one behind the crates waiting to ambush you. And, at the same time, once you land on this platform, two Riflemen + 2 Spewers will get alerted to your presence. Suffice to say, this is the most treacherous part of this entire sequence.

From here, take care of the first Spewer on the board above you, as I have shown in the image above.

From the same platform, you can also get rid of the second Spewer by carefully lining up a shot. That will save us a lot of trouble ahead. Now, wait for the Swordsman to walk to the left end of his route, then Grapple + Plunge to take him out.

Quickly now look to your right (facing the area) and above, you will see a Rifleman. Either take him out, or, if you are low on bullets, move to the other end of this platform so that his shots are out of range. We now have just one left, opposite on the final platform where you need to go to get your treasure.
Time the jump across when he is reloading, and take him out. Or alternately, if you have bullets left, take him out from a distance You now just have one enemy to dispose off, who happens to be the Volunteer.
Get your Fire Transmutation / Blunderbuss ready, and don’t hesitate to use Grenades from a distance to whittle down his health. It is a much, much better option than repeating this entire run, trust me.
Loot the chest to get the Ferrofluid Power Upgrade.
