While progressing the Heartless Remnants chapter in the Village of Lu, the various bosses on the main path will keep dropping weapons and Phantom Edges. However, to get everything that this region has to offer, and to get to the 100% completion mark for the region – there are 2 missable weapons and Phantom Edges. In this as well, for one of the weapons, if you don’t complete a specific step before triggering the boss fight, the opportunity to get that weapon is lost for this playthrough.
Here are all the 7 Weapons and Phantom Edges in the Village of Lu, their stats, and how to get them while playing Phantom Blade Zero.
#1 Bastion
Stats:
Damage: 226 | Guard Break: 198
Hold R2 to raise Bastion and block all enemy attacks. Release R2 before Sha-Chi is consumed to unleash a shockwave.
How to get:
Defeat Zhuo Bi, The Gatekeeper, to get the Bastion Phantom Edge. This fight happens early on in the Village of Lu region, and is on the main path and unmissable.
#2 Tianxuan Bronze Sword
Stats:
Damage: 240 | Guard Break: 106
Reduces Sha-Chi consumption when blocking, but disables parrying.
How to get:
Defeat Master Bi Yuan to get the Tianxuan Bronze Sword. This boss fight happens after the Statue Grounds Entrance bell, and is on the main story path.
#3 Kuye Temple Prayer Beads
Stats:
Summon Health: 1236 | Summon Damage: 22
Press R2 to summon 3 Fist Bronze Men that fight for 15 seconds.
How to get:
You get the Kuye Temple Prayer Beads on defeating Master Bi Hai. This fight will happen after the Smugglers’ Tunnel Entrance bell, once you have interacted with the Wounded Thief, and stepped into the open arena.
#4 Puppeteer’s Bell
Stats:
Summon Health: 1911 | Summon Damage: 22
Press R2 to summon 1 Sword and Shield Puppet, and 1 Spear and Shield Puppet for 15 seconds.
How to get:
You get the Puppeteer’s Bell on defeating Dusk, The Puppeteer. To trigger this boss fight, you need to first progress Secrets at the Heart of The Lake by collecting all 6 Firefly Memory Flowers. Once you have done that, go to the Temple of Blue Fireflies, exit from the other side of the temple into the mist, which you will now be able to walk through.
From here, take the linear path to the Broken Puppet Pit Entrance, and jump down to fight Dusk, The Puppeteer.
This Temple also serves as a point to get and progress A Puppet’s Wooden Heart quest, to get one of the 10 Accessories and Medicines in the Village of Lu.
#5 Heartrend Pipa
Stats:
Damage: 276 | Guard Break: 234
Press R2 repeatedly to send 2 Blue Sonic Blades and 1 Red Sonic Blades. Blue Sonic Blades inflict damage and Sha-Chi damage. Red Sonic Blades deal increased damage. Both are unblockable.
How to get:
You get the Heartrend Pipa on defeating Yuzan, No. 3 Musician Puppet. This is a main story boss fight and triggers when you open up the blocked well at the Well of the Three Puppets bell, and descend into it.
#6 Fiend Saws
Stats:
Damage: 302 | Guard Break: 120
Each hit builds up Fiend-Aura Erosion on the enemy. Once this gauge is full, it explodes, eroding enemy HP.
How to get:
Defeat the final boss of Village of Lu in Heartless Remnants main mission to get the Fiend Saws.
#7 Wild Oriole Sword
Stats:
Damage: 295 | Guard Break: 104
Press (L1 + Triangle) to enter into Oriole Song State. While in this state, which lasts for 10 sec, all Triangle attacks unleash air-rending blade waves.
How to get:
To get this sword, you need to have completed the Young Mistress quest before getting into the boss fight. If you miss doing that, and you defeat the boss – you will not be able to go back and take it. The boss fight itself will also be an incomplete experience – you will not trigger the 3rd phase of what is one of the most epic boss fights you are likely to have come across in some time.
