Steal a Brainrot Beginner's Guide: How to Play & Rarest Brainrots

Italian Brainrot experiences are all the rage in Roblox, and Steal a Brainrot is the game that’s sitting comfortably at the top of the list, and not without good reason. You see, SpyderSammy has developed a Roblox experience so addictive and satisfying that even after more than a year, the game is still breaking records, and new players are joining to dabble in the Italian Brainrot parties. If you’re also one of the newer candidates joining the fray, then here’s everything you need to know about the game and its rarest Brainrots.

How to Play Steal a Brainrot

Every player, including myself, didn’t get to where they are in Steal a Brainrot by playing fair. However, before you indulge yourself in mischief, let me tell you how the gameplay loop works. First off, you’ll start with a crisp $100 in your pocket. With it, your first task in the game is to purchase Noobini Pizzanini, the first Brainrot in your growing collection. This Common Brainrot will set you back $25 and produce $1/s. Don’t worry about increasing your money and your Brainrot empire just yet. Understand the mechanics behind the game first.

    Bases

The first thing you’ll notice is the Bases in Steal a Brainrot. Now, if you’re playing in a public server, there’s the cheeky option to steal Brainrots from other Bases, but I’ll get into it later. You’ll start with your own Starter Base, known as Sammy’s Base. Here’s where you store your Brainrots. However, other players can steal them too, so ensure to lock down your Base by standing on the yellow circle on the ground when a player is approaching it.

As you earn more Cash, you can purchase new Bases and more floors to store more Brainrots. Here’s a list of all the Bases you can purchase and what they cost:

    BASECOST
    Esok Sekolah’s Base$50k
    Pot Hotspot’s Base$725k
    Chillin Chilli’s Base$10M
    Six Seven’s Base$150M
    Dragon Cannelloni’s Base$2.5B

    Red Carpet

The Red Carpet is where the magic happens in Steal a Brainrot. The Brainrots walk out on the studded carpet to the other side and disappear. During this window, you can purchase any Brainrots you want, given you have the Cash to fund it. This is also called the Conveyor Belt. Brainrots of all rarities spawn in this place, and when there’s a higher-tier Brainrot incoming, you’d better be prepared to grab it.

Speaking of rarities, when an OG, Brainrot God, Lucky Block, or Secret-tier Brainrots spawn, there’s an in-game announcement at the Conveyor Belt. Naturally, all players will keep an eye on the Red Carpet and prepare their Gears to steal it from others. For the rarities mentioned above, spawn rates are extremely low, and there’s no way to determine when they’ll spawn. It’s part of the reason why players keep coming back to this experience.

    Gears

Gears is how the “Steal” part of “Steal a Brainrot” comes into play. You can purchase these items from the Gear Shop using Cash and use them to either steal other Brainrots or protect your own. Currently, there are 39 Gears available in the Gear Shop, and they range from items like Invisibility Cloak, Medusa’s Head, Gravity Coil, Bee Launcher, and many more. Each Gear has unique effects that can either be used to stop players from stealing your Brainrots or protect your Base from robbers.

You can also use these Gears to troll other players, but a friendly word of advice: don’t start trolling if you’re a beginner. Assume all the other players are better at the game than you, and you’ll have a mighty fine time. We don’t want other players targeting your hard-earned Brainrots now, do we? Certain Gears are unlocked after going through Rebirths in Steal a Brainrot, which I’ll explain below.

    Rebirth

The Rebirth system basically allows you to sacrifice some of your Brainrots and Cash in exchange for a faster growth rate. When you trigger a Rebirth, you part ways with specific Brainrots and Cash, and you gain a new Rebirth Level, a higher Multiplier, Cash, new Gears and more Slots for your Brainrots. You can access the Rebirth menu any time you want to via the button on the left.

As a beginner, I’d definitely recommend going through Rebirths as soon as you can progress. The more you Rebirth, the more Cash you can earn and the more Gears you’ll unlock. I’m not asking you to Rebirth right out the gate, but once you rack up enough Cash and have the required Brainrots, I’d say go for it. Speaking of requirements, here’s what you need for each Rebirth level:

    Trait Machine & Sell Shop

The Trait Machine in Steal a Brainrot helps you enchant your Brainrots to make them more valuable and earn Cash faster for $25M per roll. All you have to do is sacrifice your Brainrot in exchange for a chance to roll a Trait onto another Brainrot. Fortunately, Traits can be stacked, meaning a single Brainrot can have multiple Traits. Some of these are event-limited and appear only during Admin Abuse events, while others are typically obtained through the Trait Machine.

On the other hand, the Sell Shop is an additional way to earn more Cash. It lets you place eligible Brainrots and sell them for in-game Cash. The amount you receive depends on the Brainrot’s value and rarity. This is particularly useful for selling duplicate Brainrots and clearing up your inventory space. If you’re not into trading your Brainrots, then selling should easily be your next best option.

Here comes the stealing part in Steal a Brainrot. On paper, the concept of stealing is simple, but players are more aggressive with their Brainrots than you might expect. So, always keep useful Gears handy and follow the process below to start stealing high-tier Brainrots in Steal a Brainrot:

    1. Find an unprotected Base: Walk around the lobby and look for a Base whose shield is inactive. You can’t steal Brainrots while a shield is active, so wait for it to expire before entering.
    2. Choose a valuable Brainrot: Don’t grab the first Brainrot you see. Look for one with a high cash income, a rare Rarity, Trait, or desirable Mutations. The chance of spotting an OG or a Secret is extremely low, so I’d say go for a Mythic or a Brainrot God. A single valuable steal is usually worth more than the Common, Uncommon, or Rare Brainrots you’ll have when you begin Steal a Brainrot.
    3. Pick up the Brainrot: Walk up to your chosen Brainrot and interact with it to carry it. Once you’ve picked it up, your goal is to get it back to your own base before another player stops you.
    4. Use Gears to throw players off your track: Naturally, the player will retaliate if they catch you stealing their Brainrots. So, purchase good Gears or unlock them through Rebirths and use them to get away from their grasp.
    5. Return to your base: Head straight back without unnecessary detours. The faster you reach your Base, the lower the chance of missing your shot and losing the Brainrot.
    6. Place it in your base: Once you make it back to your Base, place the Brainrot in an available spot. It immediately becomes part of your collection and starts generating passive income just like any Brainrot you’ve purchased.

The rarer a Brainrot is in Steal a Brainrot, the more income it generates and the more players are attracted to it. You’d be surprised at the amount of these rare Brainrots in an experience that features over 460 Brainrots for players to obtain.

So, here’s a list of the top 10 rarest Brainrots in the game, along with their cost, income, and existing count. These are all S-Tier Brainrots, and if you have even one of them, consider yourself set for the entirety of Steal a Brainrot’s lifespan:

    BRAINROTCOSTINCOMEEXIST COUNT
    Headless Horseman (OG)$600B$600M/s133
    Signore Carapace (Secret)$275B$275M/s267
    Elefanto Frigo (Secret)$175B$185M/s687
    Love Love Bear (Secret)$225B$225M/s1072
    Antonio (Secret)$50B$125M/s1300
    Bunny and Eggy (Secret)$135B$170M/s1786
    Strawberry Elephant (OG)$750B$750M/s2032
    Skibidi Toilet (OG)$450B$450M/s2500
    Hydra Bunny (Secret)$175B$185M/s2318
    Meowl (OG)$650B$600M/s3200

As a beginner, I’d recommend that you improve your passive income by building your Rare and Uncommon Brainrots, then slowly make your way to the Mythic and Brainrot Gold-tiers. Steadily raise your income and replace these Common and Rare Brainrots with stronger Brainrots and more viable Brainrots to run the economy effectively. Stock up on Gears and apply Traits to your Brainrots to make your journey more fruitful and full of Cash.

Lastly, I’d recommend joining the weekly Taco Tuesday event in Steal a Brainrot. This event takes place every Tuesday and offers access to Taco-themed rewards, Taco Traits and more that can exponentially increase your chances of obtaining rarer Brainrots. If you’re more of a code guy, then check out the Steal a Brainrot codes.

How do I start playing Steal a Brainrot?

Claim an empty Base, buy your first Brainrots from the Red Carpet/Conveyor Belt, and place them in your Base to start earning passive income. The more Brainrots you own, the faster you’ll progress.

Should I save money for rare Brainrots?

As a beginner, no, you shouldn’t. It’s more efficient to buy affordable Brainrots early, build a steady income, and then use that cash flow to afford rarer Brainrots later.

When should I rebirth in Steal a Brainrot?

Rebirth as soon as you’ve met the requirements and can comfortably reset your progress. The permanent bonuses and unlocks will boost Steal a Brainrot’s endgame progression.

Is stealing Brainrots from other players worth it?

Yes, but only if you pick the right moment. Target Bases with inactive shields and prioritize valuable Brainrots instead of risking everything for Uncommon and Rare ones.

Do Traits matter for beginners to Steal a Brainrot?

Traits become more important as you progress, but they’re still worth paying attention to since they can boost a Brainrot’s income and overall value in Steal a Brainrot.
