Steam Summer Sale 2026: 11 Best Deals Worth Buying Right Now

‘Tis the season to spend on great games as the Steam Summer Sale 2026 has arrived with incredible deals for some of the greatest titles that platform has to offer. PC players wait months for these sales to drop, as they discount great games at even greater prices.

However, if you’re confused about where to start, then let me help you out, since with all these great deals covering your Steam page, it’s easy to get lost in the world of discounts. With that said, here are the 11 best deals worth buying right now that you’ll play for days to come.

    1. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Lune, Maelle, Verso, and Sciel in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the best game in Steam Summer Sale.
    Image via Sandfall Interactive

Whatever I say for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, I’d be underselling it. Currently available at $39.99, it’s one of the greatest games you’ll ever play, and there’s really no surprise why it swept The Game Awards last year. I’m also not big on JRPGs, nor do I have any interest in turn-based combat, so I initially had no interest in this. Boy, was I wrong. From the first opening section, which opens with the Gommage, I couldn’t put this game down.

The story follows Expedition 33, a group setting out to kill the Paintress before she paints the next number on her monolith. Every year, everyone of that age vanishes during the Gommage, so this expedition is marching toward what could be its last mission. Aside from lovable characters like Maelle, Gustave, and Verso, the game’s standout was easily the combat system. Every enemy has attack patterns that can be dodged or perfectly parried, and landing those parries opens devastating counterattacks that can completely turn a fight around.

Gustave builds Overcharge before unleashing a massive mechanical strike, Maelle constantly shifts between Offensive and Defensive stances, Lune creates Elemental Stains that power up later spells, and Sciel stacks Foretell to cash out enormous bursts of damage. With the Picto and Lumina systems, where passive abilities eventually become permanent skills that any party member can equip, character building becomes just as satisfying as the battles themselves.

Every area has its own identity, from surreal, fractured landscapes to Belle Époque-inspired architecture, backed by an orchestral soundtrack from Lorien Testard and Alice Duport-Percier that rarely misses. And don’t get me started on the boss fights; each one is a work of art. It’s genuinely astounding how a debut studio like Sandfall Interactive managed to make one of 2025’s best games, so naturally, it’s the first thing I’ll tell you to buy before the Steam Summer Sale ends.

    2. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition

Grabbing Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition at $33.10 is a complete no-brainer. It’s one deal I’d tell almost anyone to grab during this Steam Summer Sale. You’re getting the base game, which is excellent in its own right, plus the Phantom Liberty expansion, which adds around 30-40 hours of more gameplay for less than half the usual price. It’s also an easy recommendation considering how much the game has evolved since its absolute mess of a launch back in 2020.

After Cyberpunk 2077’s Update 2.0, I took a trip back to Night City, and it genuinely felt like the game CD Projekt Red wanted to ship at launch. The revisions to Skill Trees and Perks made every build more fun to experiment with, even though I stuck with my original Sandevistan build, and the combat, along with the gunplay, felt more satisfying. Improved police AI, vehicle combat and countless other quality-of-life updates made an already great game even better.

You still get the hard-hitting moments from its stellar campaign about V’s race against time to save himself from the Relic’s effects, with rockerboy Johnny Silverhand tagging along for the chaotic and emotional ride. Additionally, you also get to experience Phantom Liberty’s masterful story with major players like Songbird and Solomon Reed joining the fray, delivering memorable spy-thriller missions and adding Dogtown as a fresh district to explore apart from the neon-drenched Night City.

For a bit over 33 bucks, you’re getting well over 100 hours of content if you’re looking to explore every nook and cranny of Night City and Dogtown, chasing new gigs, experimenting with new builds and soaking in the neon atmosphere. Few RPGs offer this much value at this price, which is why I can wholeheartedly recommend Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition as one of the best Steam Summer Sale deals this year.

    3. Red Dead Redemption 2

    Image via Rockstar Games

Now is the perfect time to dive into the massive Western world of Red Dead Redemption 2, going for $14.99 in this Steam Summer Sale. It’s one of the greatest open-world games ever made for the price of a couple of fast-food meals, and nearly a decade later, it still holds up better than a couple of games released this year. Unlike its console counterpart, Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC version runs at 60 fps, making it more worth it.

For those counting down the days to GTA 6, like me, Red Dead Redemption 2 will more than just scratch your itch for an open-world experience until November 19, 2026. It’s also one of those games you need to play at least once in your life. Arthur Morgan’s adventure with the Van der Linde gang is nothing short of exceptional, and it’s perhaps Rockstar’s most personal story yet, until GTA 6 releases. Hunting, fishing, playing poker, or doing Stranger missions, there’s barely any end to the number of things you can do in this game.

This game is also a perfect reminder of what Rockstar does best, and why Red Dead Redemption 2 is hailed as the benchmark for open-world storytelling. Sure, every game has its own set of flaws, but it’s pretty easy to overlook them when the game’s this good. So, at $14.99, it’s easily one of the best deals you’ll find during this Steam Summer Sale, and the perfect game to dive into before GTA 6.

    4. Silent Hill 2

    Image via Bloober Team

Bloober Team’s spectacular remake of one of the most influential horror games of all time is now available in this year’s Steam Summer Sale at $34.99, a 50% discount from its original price. To me, Silent Hill 2 is a terrifying masterpiece, and this sale is the perfect excuse to explore the mysterious town from your restless dreams if you haven’t done it already. This remake takes the 2001 classic and rebuilds it with modern visuals in Unreal Engine 5, an over-the-shoulder camera, and reworked combat, while keeping the story and psychological horror.

James Sunderland’s search for his late wife, Mary, is still the core narrative of Silent Hill 2, but the remake does a much better job of pulling you into the town itself. The overhauled visuals make the already horrifying locations like Brookhaven Hospital, the Toluca Prison and the Labyrinth more intense and terrifying. Even the fog-covered streets of Silent Hill build a constant state of unease, further amplified by Akira Yamaoka’s remastered soundtrack.

This is a horror game that relies less on endless jump scares and more on psychological storytelling; you won’t grasp it initially. But the more you play, the more the twists make sense, with the ultimatum being delivered at the end when James sits in front of a TV to find out the truth at the Lakeview Hotel. Even if you’re not into horror gaming, I’d still recommend Silent Hill 2 during this Steam Summer Sale, because the story goes far beyond your run-of-the-mill supernatural horror.

    5. Resident Evil Requiem

    Image via Capcom

Resident Evil Requiem is only a few months old, having been released back in February, so seeing it drop to $55.99 during the Steam Summer Sale is already a solid deal. With a DLC already in the works, and Resident Evil Veronica confirmed for a 2027 release, now might be the perfect time to dive into Leon S. Kennedy’s comeback into the world of RE and Grace Ashcroft’s first outing with the undead.

As I mentioned, this game features two distinct playstyles through its dual protagonists: newcomer Grace Ashcroft and RE veteran Leon S. Kennedy. Grace’s parts lean into classic survival horror, featuring limited resources through locations like the Rhodes Hill Care Centre. On the other hand, Leon’s campaign shifts the focus to explosive, fast-paced combat through various parts of Raccoon City. I’d recommend playing Grace’s parts in first person while Leon’s in third person.

Capcom’s RE Engine continues to deliver some of the best visuals in the genre, bringing back popular Resident Evil enemies and spinning a twist on the classic Raccoon City lore that dates back as far as the first game, without giving away too much. Add in a campaign around Elpis that runs for 12-15 hours, a free post-launch mode, Leon Must Die Forever, and one of the highest-rated releases of 2026, and $55.99 feels like a very fair price.

    6. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

    Image via Warhorse Studios

If you kept putting off Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 because of its launch price, seeing it at $23.99 during the Steam Summer Sale should change your mind. That’s 60% off its regular $59.99, and it’s the lowest price the game has been on Steam. You step back into the boots of Henry of Skalitz immediately after the events of the first game, traveling across two massive regions: the forests and villages surrounding Trosky Castle, and the thriving silver-mining city of Kuttenberg.

It’s one of the most convincing medieval worlds I’ve explored, with no fantasy creatures or magic getting in the way of its grounded setting. The game expects you to learn its systems instead of handing you easy victories. Combat revolves around directional strikes, perfect blocks, ripostes, stamina, and armor quality, so charging into a group usually ends badly. Like Red Dead, your reputation changes how people treat you. Additionally, your clothing affects first impressions, and skills improve through use rather than arbitrary level-ups.

Warhorse has continued refining the game with post-launch patches, and the reception speaks for itself. It currently holds an Overwhelmingly Positive Steam rating from more than 180,000 reviews, which is impressive for an RPG this ambitious. At $23.99, I don’t think there’s a better time to jump in if you’ve been waiting for a deep, historically grounded RPG that you can spend 100 hours in.

    7. Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hornet in the Moss Grotto in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
    Image via Team Cherry

Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of the easiest games for me to recommend during the Steam Summer Sale. At $14.99, it’s the lowest price the game has reached on Steam. This time, you play as Hornet, whose moveset is completely different from the Knight’s. She sprints by default, heals with Silk gathered from enemies, and uses a wide range of Tools that you craft and equip instead of relying solely on your melee prowess.

The kingdom of Pharloom is built around vertical exploration, with areas ranging from coral-covered caverns like Deep Docks and dense forests to towering citadels and industrial settlements like Greymoor. Traversal feels faster because Hornet can chain jumps, dashes, wall climbs, and aerial attacks together, making platforming much more fluid than in the first game. Exploration is rewarded with new Tools, hidden Relics, Crests that modify your abilities, and side quests given by NPCs, replacing the original game’s simpler approach to progression.

Combat and dying are where I spent most of my time, because let me tell you, this game is a master ragebaiter. Enemy attacks are quicker, Hornet’s mobility encourages staying aggressive. Team Cherry has filled Pharloom with more than 165 enemy types and over 30 bosses, so every new region introduces fresh mechanics instead of recycling old encounters. For those waiting for a discount, this is an excellent entry point for one of the strongest modern Metroidvanias on Steam.

    8. Baldur’s Gate 3

    Shadowheart in Baldur's Gate 3.
    Image via Larian Studios

At $44.99, Baldur’s Gate 3 is back on sale with a 25% discount, and I still think it’s one of the best RPGs you can buy on Steam. You begin as a character infected with a Mind Flayer tadpole, then build a party from companions like Shadowheart, Astarion, Lae’zel, Gale, and Karlach, each with their own personal quest that can dramatically change the story. The game follows the rules of Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, so every attack, spell, dialogue check, and lockpick attempt is influenced by Dice Rolls, Abilities, and your character build.

The amount of freedom this game offers is astounding. You can solve encounters through combat, persuasion, intimidation, stealth, theft, or environmental interactions like dropping chandeliers, shoving enemies off cliffs, or coating weapons with poison before a fight. Every Class plays differently, multiclassing opens up even more possibilities, and almost every quest has multiple outcomes depending on who tags along with you, what you discovered beforehand, or which dialogue options you chose. Even seemingly minor decisions can reappear dozens of hours later with lasting consequences, and I don’t say that lightly.

Larian didn’t stop supporting the game after launch either. The final major content update added 12 new subclasses, cross-platform multiplayer, Photo Mode, and more modding support, giving returning players even more reasons to start another campaign. Baldur’s Gate 3 at the current Steam Summer Sale price is an absolutely stellar recommendation, especially if you have friends who are crazy about DnD.

    9. Helldivers 2

    Operations in Helldivers 2.
    Image via Arrowhead Studio

Let’s take a multiplayer turn here. $31.99 is an easy asking price for Helldivers 2 during the Steam Summer Sale, especially when it’s down 25%. If you have friends looking for your next chaotic multiplayer obsession, Helldivers 2 should be right up your alley. Every mission drops up to four players onto hostile planets with objectives like launching ICBMs, destroying Terminid bug nests, disabling Automaton factories, or recovering sensitive data before reaching the extraction shuttle.

The variety comes from the enemy factions and the tools you’re given. Terminids overwhelm with numbers, Automatons fight with ranged weapons and armored units, while the Illuminate rely on advanced technology and battlefield control.

Stratagems are called in with directional inputs, letting you deploy Eagle airstrikes, orbital bombardments, machine-gun emplacements, exosuits, anti-tank weapons, or reinforcement beacons in the middle of a firefight. Ship upgrades and Warbonds steadily unlock new weapons, armor sets, grenades, and utilities, making it easy to experiment with different loadouts instead of sticking to one build.

No two Operations will play the same. One extraction can end with everyone diving into the shuttle while the Chargers crash through the landing zone. Another falls apart because someone mistimes an Orbital Laser and turns the objective into a full-blown crater. Moments like these are what popularised Helldivers 2 in the first place, because amidst all the explosive chaos, the hilarity of it all will stick with you and your squad even after you hop off the game.

    10. Dead Space (2023)

Isaac shooting at a Necromorph in Dead Space.
    Image via Motive Studio

Dead Space (2023) is one of the cheapest horror games you can currently purchase during the Steam Summer Sale for $5.99. It’s one of the steepest discounts in the entire EA catalog right now. For this price, this is a horrific steal. In this game, you follow Isaac Clarke, an engineer sent to repair the USG Ishimura, a massive mining ship that has gone dark, only to find it overrun by Necromorphs. Motive has done some massive overhauls to the systems from the original 2008 game, such as connecting USG Ishimura in levels like Engineering, Medical, and Hydroponics, with the tram system tying everything together instead of traditional level breaks.

Combat focuses on precision dismemberment and the motto of “cut off their limbs”, using tools like the Plasma Cutter, Line Gun, and Ripper to slice off limbs because headshots will do absolutely nothing to slow them down. Zero-gravity sections now allow you to traverse through the darkest sections of the Ishimura, which is a fantastic change from the original, and the “Intensity Director” dynamically shifts lighting, enemy spawns, and audio cues to keep encounters unpredictable even in areas you’ve already cleared.

The sound design does a lot of the heavy lifting, especially when Isaac starts being influenced by the Marker, making one of the eeriest atmospheres in a video game through vague whispers and hallucinations. The price during this Steam Summer Sale is even lower than the original on the platform, so this sits in the “no hesitation” tier of the sale if you want a tightly paced survival horror game that stays consistent from start to finish.

    11. Dave the Diver Collection Bundle

The Blue Hole in Dave the Diver.
    Image via Mintrocket

After the nerve-racker called Dead Space, let’s end the list with something more comfortable, and I can wholeheartedly recommend you Dave the Diver, specifically the Coollection Bundle that includes all the DLCs, since it’s currently on the Steam Summer Sale for $23.90. This bundle packages the entire game ecosystem into one purchase instead of piecing it together later. It includes the base game Dave the Diver, where daytime dives in the Blue Hole revolve around oxygen management, fish collection, salvage runs, and depth pressure. On the other hand, night shifts involve running Bancho Sushi, turning everything caught into a restaurant economy that funds your upgrades.

The included DLC content expands that loop in different directions rather than stacking more of the same. The DREDGE Content Pack adds a crossover event inspired by DREDGE, with themed quests and a darker tone layered into specific ocean encounters. My personal favorite, the Godzilla Content Pack, introduces special encounter events featuring Godzilla and Ebirah inside the Blue Hole as large-scale crossover fights.

If you’re a fan of the Yakuza series, then The Ichiban’s Holiday Content Pack should keep you hooked. It brings Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon, adding themed restaurant content and crossover interactions. Finally, the In the Jungle expansion, released earlier this month, adds freshwater lake regions like the Utara Lake with new diving mechanics and over 80 species.

Buying everything together at the mentioned price removes the piecemeal approach by bundling the whole experience into a single purchase, covering the full dive-and-restaurant loop, all crossover content and the larger expansion without requiring separate DLC decisions later. It ends up being the complete version of a game that already stretches its systems across two distinct gameplay layers, so I absolutely recommend picking the Collection Bundle as long as the sale is live.

I’m sure you’ll find more great games to spend money on during this Steam Summer Sale, but these are some of the best deals I’ve found, which range from AAA titles, indie bangers, to great multiplayer experiences. So, grab these deals before the sale ends next week!
