The Dave the Diver In the Jungle fish list is divided into 82 collectible entries inside the Marinca Bloom app, which becomes available after meeting Sato in the village.

Unlike the base game, the DLC does not feature night fishing. You’ll spend your evenings working at Bancho’s Grill, leaving only daytime dives and fishing sessions to complete your collection.
As you progress through the story, Muna upgrades your purification filters, allowing Dave to dive deeper into Utara Lake before eventually unlocking the Lakebed Sea.

The upper section of Utara Lake covers depths between 0 and 35 meters and is where you’ll catch the majority of the DLC’s early-game fish. Most common species appear naturally while exploring this region.
However, several notable creatures require additional progression:
- Blue Yabby, Red Swamp Crayfish, and Tricolor can only be hunted with a Crab Trap.
- Archerfish, Banana Cichlid, Blue-Gray Mbuna, and Clown Loach can only be hunted after the lake is purified.
- Black Caiman is a hostile giant fish which is tied to Bonita’s quest.
- Pirarucu is another hostile giant fish that requires you to find a machete to open a path to it.
- Sulong is also a hostile giant fish that ends as Operation: Sulong Hunt’s boss fight.
- Malaysian Pikehead only appears in Vegetation Cave after you have defeated Sulong.
If your goal is efficiency, I recommend collecting all standard fish first before returning later for quest-related creatures.

After upgrading Dave’s purification filter (you need to bring Muna 3x Dinosaur Bone Fragments and 70 Doni), you’ll gain access to the 35–75 meter section of Utara Lake. This area introduces much larger and more aggressive wildlife. Many will attack Dave on sight. Similar to fish found above 35m, some creatures require additional progression:
- Asian Arowana, Clown Featherback, Giant Freshwater Stingray, Platinum Alligator Gar, and Sockeye Salmon can only be hunted after the lake is purified.
- Marron, Murray Spiny Crayfish, and Signal Crayfish need a Crab Trap to catch.
- Giant Snapping Turtle is your boss fight in this region for the A Monster Snapping Turtle quest given by Sato.
- Fire Eel only appears in Sunang Ruins Lake after you have defeated Giant Snapping Turtle.
Do be careful in this region as multiple fish turn out to be hostile once you get close to them.
Fishing Rod Exclusive Fish
Not every fish is caught underwater. Eventually, you’ll unlock the Fishing Rod, allowing Dave to fish from Surga Falls and Setah Forest. These species receive their own category in Marinca Bloom and won’t count unless caught with the rod.

The Lakebed Sea becomes available later in the story after Muna crafts Dave’s new diving suit (ancient equipment and suit from the Temple in Chapter 3), which allows him to dive lower than 75m. The biome is called Sea Beneath the Lake and introduces prehistoric creatures and some of the DLC’s toughest encounters.
Some collectible creatures also require special capture methods rather than ordinary spearfishing. Such as:
- Ciurcopterus, Tumidocarcinus giganteus, and Tuzoia can only be caught using a Crab Trap.
- Red Sea Lily (which floats by the seabed) needs a net to catch, while Trilobite and Tullimonstrum need a Net Gun to catch.
- Xiphactinus and Stethacanthus are your boss fights in this region, which require you to complete story quests to unlock them.
- Basilosaurus can be harvested only after Xiphactinus is defeated.
Because of these varied requirements, bringing multiple tools during each dive is much more efficient than relying solely on your harpoon.

Completing the Dave the Diver In the Jungle fish list is much easier if you avoid treating every dive as a hunting trip. Most fish you collect also unlock Bancho Grill recipes automatically, so every catch serves double duty.
- Progress the story first before worrying about completion.
- Upgrade your purification filters as early as possible.
- Always place Crab Traps whenever you see bubbling rocks.
- Carry a Net Gun alongside your main weapon.
- Return after purification events since several fish only spawn afterward.
- Revisit boss arenas because certain creatures only appear after those encounters are completed.
- Check your Marinca Bloom entries after every dive so you know which region still has missing species.
Doing this minimizes unnecessary backtracking later in the DLC.
How to collect Marinca Bloom Completion Reward
Completing every Marinca Bloom entry rewards your dedication with a special roof decoration for Dave’s hut.
Once every fish has been collected and the flower inside Marinca Bloom has fully grown, Sato will contact Dave and send the cosmetic reward. You can equip it by opening the decoration menu inside Dave’s house and selecting the Roof Decoration slot.
While it doesn’t provide gameplay benefits, it’s a satisfying reward that showcases you’ve fully completed one of the DLC’s biggest challenges.
