Super Fantasy Kingdom – Which Heroes to get first?
The choice of the best character will vary greatly, based on your personal preferences and gameplay style. However, we can recommend some characters we think might be the best option to start your journey.
Rickard
The best starter character in Super Fantasy Kingdom is Rickard. He does a good amount of Damage and has an overall balanced build, offering excellent early game performance. He also provides excellent defense when you’re just starting. As a Knight, Rickard also benefits from various relics, including powerful ones like Eagle Eyes, Metal Mage, and Hungry Shield.
Alaric
Alaric is a fun option, owing to his incredible Damage and Range. Alaric is rooted in Bleed status, offering you a chance to complete his build with appropriate relics and buffs. You can also add Heals to his upgrades towards the end of the game.
Cole
If you like Mages more than Melee units, we recommend unlocking Cole. He has an excellent range, as well as the ability to inflict Burn on enemies afflicted with his Fireballs. Some of his fire-based spells have massive AoE effects.
Gideon
Gideon is one of the best all-rounder characters to start your journey. His easy-to-use abilities will help you get a better grasp on the game. Furthermore, some of his abilities have decent AoE effects, making him a beast when it comes to mowing down hordes of oncoming enemies.
List of All Heroes in Super Fantasy Kingdom

S-tier Heroes
While S-tier characters are among the most powerful ones in Super Fantasy Kingdom, they do not serve as the best starter heroes. They are hard to control and get the hang of, especially when you’re just starting.
- Qhe’la: Qhe’la can raise an army of minions to dole out massive damage, making her one of the strongest characters in the game. While she’s classified as Tank, she also makes an excellent support unit for various Boss fights.
- Selene: Maxing out Selene’s upgrade path makes her a powerful unit. She can freeze any enemy that comes into contact and unlock impressive relics. She also has an excellent critical hit rate and can do serious damage once you build her up.
A-tier Heroes
Considered second-most powerful, A-tier characters make for a better start choice in Super Fantasy Kingdom than S-tier heroes. These characters are easy to control when you’re starting and offer a balanced gameplay experience.
- Alaric: Offers decent Damage and great Range. However, he lacks defense in the later stages of the game.
- Cole: Mage with a balanced build kit and awesome Fire-based magical attacks with massive AoE damage. However, he feels a bit weak towards the end of the campaign.
- Gideon: Gideon is a perfect all-rounder character that deals decent damage and provides decent defense.
- Rickard: Perfect defensive character. Your best bet for learning all the in-game abilities. However, the complexity of his upgrade paths and lack of Shield make him a weak choice in later game stages.
- Sheva: All-rounder. Excellent starter (base build). Offers impressive Damage and Range, along with the ability to heal and debuff.
- Thea: Warrior priestess with unnatural strength. Features stronger early game upgrades, making her a decent starter character in Undead Kingdom.
B-tier Heroes
- Cadus: A fallen, undead knight with decent Damage. However, his defense is almost non-existent.
- Grumdil: Dwarven Prince who packs quite a punch. But he’s hard to use and has low attack range.
- Mort: An undead champion (most probably the Grim Reaper). Excellent damage, but poor Range.
FAQs
How to unlock Heroes in Super Fantasy Kingdom?
You can unlock new heroes in Super Fantasy Kingdom by exploring the map. There are several X spots marked on your mark. When you travel there, a hero will randomly spawn at the spot. Based on the type of hero, you need to spend anywhere between 10 and 25 Shards to unlock the hero. Since the hero spawning is randomized, there is no particular way or special spots to unlock specific heroes. We recommend checking the spots daily to see what the game has to offer you that particular day.
How to know which heroes will work great for initial runs?
We recommend starting with beginner-friendly characters, such as Cole, Rickard, and Alaric. They possess decent stats to get through the first week in Super Fantasy Kingdom. Plus, they also have pretty easy-to-understand abilities. So you can enjoy your gameplay, rather than unlocking S-tiered characters and getting confused about how to use them.
How many characters or Heroes are available in Super Fantasy Kingdom?
Super Fantasy Kingdom currently offers eleven unique heroes that players can unlock. Each possesses different abilities and skill trees, so they can be built and used according to your unique preferences.
