Crimson Desert has added a lot of new mechanics and creatures in the Version 1.05.00 update, which includes the Mountain God Boar. This humongous boar will be hiding in the forests and waiting for your arrival. However, you must first start the mission in Pailune and track it down afterward.
How To Start the Mountain God Boar Encounter Mission in Crimson Desert
First, you have to pick up the Lumberjack’s Witness Report notice in Pailune. We found it right next to the Abyss Nexus in Pailune after teleporting to the area. However, the exact location may vary from player to player.
If you do not see a purple notice marker on your map after teleporting to Pailune, roam the area and keep a close eye on your map.
Note: Since the mission is in Pailune, it is assumed that this mission cannot appear before you liberate Pailune through the main story quests. However, it is unknown if any other quests need to be completed before you can trigger this one.

Where To Find the Mountain God Boar in Crimson Desert
We found the God Boar in the Odeck region. However, other players have reported finding this creature in different areas as well. Therefore, we can surmise that this beast can likely spawn in any location within Pailune as long as there are enough trees nearby.
Why would you need trees, you ask? This is because the spawning requirement of the Mountain God Boar is the destruction of enough trees in the area. We used Turning Slash to do this since using Explosive Arrows seemed a little wasteful. However, if you have an excess stock of these powerful arrows, they will get the job done much faster.
Once enough trees have been cut down in an area, the boss should suddenly appear.
How To Defeat the Mountain God Boar in Crimson Desert?
This boss is not too hard on its own. Its attacks are mostly predictable, albeit a bit fast. It charges at you as any other boar would, and sometimes raises its front legs to stomp downwards. Therefore, the best strategy we would recommend is to stick to its right or left side and keep attacking.
However, its summons can prove to be quite annoying during the fight. The Mountain God summons additional small boars, which can keep interrupting your attacks. However, as long as you keep moving and sticking to its sides, their impact on the fight should be minimal.
Mountain God Boar Rewards
Defeating this creature does not reward you as most other bosses would. You do not get any special equipment or Abyss Gear. However, you do get a decent supply of Timber, Fine Timber, and Flawless Timber.
This is great if you do not have the Demenissian Chainsaw yet to obtain Flawless Timber.

It is recommended to have a pet, like a cat, dog, or even a Phoenix equipped. These can walk around the battlefield and collect the Timber as it falls off the creature.
Is there a cheese method to defeat the Mountain God Boar?
Yes, the boss does not have any ranged attacks. Therefore, you can stick to a distance and pepper it with Poison and Explosive Arrows to drain its health.
