If you are looking for some good Slay the Spire 2 mods to spice up the base game, you are at the right place. We have gone over an extensive list of mods that are available and picked some of the best ones. These range from minor tweaks to gameplay overhauls. So, strap in for the five best mods in Slay the Spire 2.
Best Slay the Spire 2 Mods and How To Download Them

Unfortunately, the Steam Workshop will fail you (for now) if you try to use it to download mods for Slay the Spire 2. Trust me, I tried.
However, this is bound to change in the future. Steam Workshop support will likely be added to the game someday. So, you have to rely on third-party modding sites to find the best mods. Fortunately for you, we have already compiled some of the best QoL (quality of life) and gameplay-altering mods to help you out.
You have to download the mods into the following folder:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Slay the Spire 2\mods
Note: If the above folder called ‘mods’ does not exist, create a new folder in the same location under the same name.
5
DevConsole
This is definitely one of the more useful mods to use, especially if you are struggling with the game. You gain access to a console, where you can input developer commands (essentially cheat codes) that cause various things to happen.
These commands are quite unfair, so using them might see the excitement behind the game vanish. Still, if you are finding a section of the game too difficult and want to skip past it, this mod is perfect.
4
SlayTheSpire2.LAN.Multiplayer

This is a great QoL mod that adds a Local Area Network (LAN) multiplayer interface. It becomes extremely useful if you want to host a game on your LAN. You can host a standard, daily, or custom run on this network; the choice is yours.
Moreover, you also have the option to mess around with the maximum player settings, which can be handy under some circumstances.
3
BetterSpire2

This is technically not a single mod, but could be treated as a bundle of mods (or a modpack to be precise). I found the following features particularly useful:
- Damage counters
- Multi-hit totals
- Hold R to restart the run
- Auto-skip the intro splash screen
Lastly, you do not have to keep all these mechanics enabled at once. You can press F1 anytime to open up the mod settings menu. Here, you can toggle on/off any settings you like/dislike.
2
UpgradeAllCards

If you want to blaze through the game with upgraded cards, look no further, as this mod will do exactly that, and more.
- Your starting deck will be fully upgraded at the start of every run.
- Grants all three Egg Relics (Frozen, Molten, and Toxic)
- Removes Eggs from the Relic pool, so you do not get duplicates.
However, keep in mind that this may make the game a bit too easy, so use it at your own discretion.
1
Quick Restart
Since Slay the Spire 2 is a roguelike, your outcome may rely on luck several times. So, if Lady Luck does not lay the outcome in your favour, this mod will be here to help out. Here is what it does:
- Press F5 to restart the battle
- No deck, HP, relics, or gold loss upon restoration.
- No need to worry about save state corruption since it uses the game’s own auto-save system.
