    Pokémon Pokopia: Post Game Guide

By Pranshu AryanMarch 12, 20264 Mins Read

    Summary

    • The post-game of Pokémon Pokopia hides some secrets you might not have unlocked before.
    • You can unlock the Magnemite transformation, allowing you to freely fly.
    • Farming materials and meeting some Legendary Pokémon should also be a priority.

It may seem like Pokémon Pokopia is not a story-driven game at first, but it still has an ending you can reach. I had to upgrade my Environment Level across various islands and fulfill various Important Requests to see this, but it was well worth the effort. Reaching the credits unlocks an ‘overpowered’ transformation, which makes building and decoration a trivial task.

During this Pokémon Pokopia post-game guide, I will discuss some of the best activities you should take up once the credits roll.

    Unlock the Magnemite Transformation

This is the first priority before you start any other Pokémon Pokopia post-game activity. If you were frustrated with your vertical movement before, then this ability is a boon that you will quickly learn to appreciate.

Magnemite’s Transformation gives Ditto access to the frankly overpowered Magnet Rise movement ability. During this form, you can freely move through the air and place decorations and blocks wherever you want.

This is akin to Minecraft’s Creative Mode, just without the unlimited resources. You should head over to the Sparkling Skylands and approach the mysterious building from the Team Initiation challenge. Drop down into the hole at this location to meet Magnemite.

Automatic Material Farms and Dream Islands

There are a bunch of AFK (away from keyboard) material farms that you should consider constructing. These will help you passively accrue materials over a period of time. Chief among these is the Community Chest, in which Pokémon can deposit materials freely. Furthermore, Pokémon with certain specialties will even take out materials and process them automatically.

You should try to pick Pokémon with the Litter and Gather skills to pick up items and deposit them into nearby chests. Although the material farm isn’t something that is specifically unlocked in the post-game, you will undoubtedly need it more now, especially to make habitats for the Lengendaries.

Apart from this, you should also head to Dream Islands as many times as possible. It is the best source of certain materials. Although you are locked to one Dream Island a day, you can change your Nintendo Switch 2 time manually to remove the cooldown/waiting period.

Legendaries: Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, and Mew

If you have not yet met all of the Legendary Pokémon, now is the time to do so. Although they are not specifically locked to the post-game, it is best recommended to do it during this time for a few simple reasons. The most difficult Legendaries to meet in the game are arguably the Legendary Birds and Mew.

For the three birds, you will need lots of materials to construct their altars. Therefore, it makes sense to try to construct these altars after setting up ample material farms and using the Magnemite transformation, as these help in reducing your preparation time.

Meanwhile, for Mew, you will need to collect 27 Mysterious Slates. If you played through the game’s main story first, like me, chances are that you did not collect all of these in time. Therefore, now with nothing else left to focus on, you should turn your attention to the New Species Pokémon.

Common Activities To Do During the Pokémon Pokopia Post-Game

Apart from these specific tasks, you can still do a lot of stuff before ending your Pokémon Pokopia post-game journey. These include:

    • Constructing more Habitats to meet new Pokémon.
    • Increasing your Environment Level to unlock more shop items.
    • Decorating your town as you wish.

How Long Does It Take To Complete Pokémon Pokopia and Reach the Post-Game?

On average, the game should take you around 30-40 hours to finish, if you focus mainly on the main story. This does not include you getting distracted by some side activity and helping out every random Pokémon you meet.

    FAQs About Pokémon Pokopia Post-Game

When does the post-game for Pokémon Pokopia start?

You will need to raise the Environment Level of all four islands to level five. Moreover, the main story quests for all the islands must be completed. The credits will play after you finish the Team Initiation Challenge.

Can you unlock the Magnemite transformation before the post-game?

No, the transformation cannot be unlocked before the credits roll.
