Summary
- Diamonds are an important and very rare resource in Crimson Desert.
- You can still find a huge vein of Diamonds early on in the Hernand region.
- This Crafting and Refinement material can be used as a gift or to refine weapons to higher levels.
Crimson Desert has several rare resources that you can explore and find, with one of the rarest being Diamonds. Normally, you can find them in the faraway regions of Demeniss and Crimson Desert, but these are not really beginner-friendly areas.
Fortunately, we have found a substantially large vein of this precious resource sitting quite close to the starting region of the game.

How To Get Diamonds Easily in the Hernand Region of Crimson Desert

The easiest way to get Diamonds would be to embark on a trip to the Hernand Highlands. This area is a short walk away from Howling Hill, where the Greymanes have set up camp. Here, you will find a huge crater, which you should promptly jump into (remember to glide before crashing and dying).
At the bottom, you will find the entrance to the Hernand Highlands Cave. Walk inside the cave, and go in a straight line until you reach the end.
You will see a huge vein of minerals in here, which you can mine without a worry in the world. I was able to get nine Diamonds here, but the exact number you get may vary by a small amount. You can keep coming back to this location after waiting for seven in-game days to find a new batch of ore deposits.
This is a long waiting time, so it is better to find this spot early and farm as much as possible for later on.

How To Use Diamonds in Crimson Desert

As mentioned earlier, Diamonds are a Crafting and Refinement material. This means that you will need it to upgrade and maybe even craft some late-game weapons. Moreover, you can also gift it to various nobles to increase your trust rank with them.
Lastly, if you have no use for these rare minerals, you always have the option of selling them. Although the base selling price seems to be 2.28 silver, you can use various items and buffs to increase it further.

How To Mine Diamonds in Crimson Desert
You should ideally have two main items ready if you want to mine any resource. These are:
- Lantern: You get this at the start of the game, and it is undoubtedly one of the best items. You should set it to light up automatically in dark places, or turn it on manually before entering a cave.
- Pickaxe: You can get a pickaxe by starting Rhett’s Request during the tutorial section of the game. This item is crucial if you want to mine Diamonds (or any other resource in the game). After equipping the pickaxe, press LB or L1, followed by RB or R2 to use the pickaxe.
- The Force Palm technique can also work as a substitute when breaking minerals. However, you might get a lower yield. Still, it does get the job done, if not perfectly.
Having a head start on finding Diamonds in Hernand will surely translate into a smoother end-game experience for you. This is because you will already have obtained a sizeable amount of materials by then.
