In Phantom Blade Zero, as you explore Pangzhen, you will eventually come across the Huang Manor Crossroads bell. Right next to it is the Huang Manor – but locked, and requiring a specific key to open. As your experience with the Thieves’ Camp locked door, and the Outpost one before that would have shown, there will be valuable loot inside – and you would be correct.

How to Open Huang Manor | Huang Manor Key Location
The Huang Manor key is handed out to you by Shopkeeper Niu in the Pangzhen hub area. From the Huang Manor Crossroads bell, head straight, and defeat Cavalrybane, Elite Shadow Warden. From here, enter the tavern – the building with blue lanterns.
Exit the other end, and Soul will observe that the wine racks look too well organized. Swing away here, to reveal a hidden lever. Using it opens up the passage, go through there to reveal the hub area. Complete interactions with Myst and Taoist Bi Di.
Exit from her right to reach the Myst’s Tavern Crane Bell. Proceed straight ahead to enter the area with all NPCs.
Look for Shopkeeper Niu on the left central part. Speak with him to get the Huang Manor Key.
Exploring Huang Manor | Rewards
Enter the Huang Manor, and get the Tainted Crystal Shard straight ahead. Take the left as the only path available, and backstab the enemy.
Grab the Medicine Pot Fragment: Chain(1/4). Like this, you will be collecting a total of 4 Fragments through the linear path across the Manor, to finally complete the full Medicine Pot accessory.
Next, just before the stairs, go to the room on the right. Defeat the enemy and get Medicine Pot Fragment: Handle(2/4). Now, take the stairs. Here, the shimmering enemy will first need either the blue / red arcs deflected to cause damage to her, and make her take melee damage from your swings. Get the Medicine Pot Fragment: Body(3/4), Tainted Crystal Shard, and Refined Indigo Crystal.
Make your way out into the corridor, and enter the room. On your right will be a set of broken steps leading to Medicine Pot Fragment: Lid(4/4). This completes the Manor Medicine Pot accessory – which, when equipped, gives you a 8% chance of not consuming a use.
Get the Traversal Talisman, For Xiu Note, and the Memory Flower: Reunion with Brother (1/2). This also starts A Brother Once More side quest. You can now return to Shopkeeper Niu who gives you the next clue for progressing this quest.
However, for the purposes of using the Huang Manor Key, and exploring it to get rewards, we are done with this task.
