Phantom Blade Zero, in addition to some great combat, also has NPCs that you will keep coming across, with their own requests – mostly fetch quests, but these ones do a great job of leading you to newer areas and ensuring that you explore the world thoroughly.
One of the NPCs that you will come across early on, in fact, the first is Yu’er. She will give you a quest to get Flesh Lilies then. But, when you make it to the Outpost – your first hub in the game, you will find her there as well (after some time). Moved by the plight of the soldiers, she will request you to fetch 3 herbs, thus kicking off the Apprentice Healer side quest.
The ingredients that she has asked are at different points across the map, with some of the areas remaining inaccessible till you get a key, or a Phantom Edge. Here are the complete details on how to fetch all 3 ingredients for the Apprentice Healer side quest in Phantom Blade Zero
Ingredient # 1: Blood-Stopper Vine
This is the earliest and most straightforward ingredient to get. Defeat Peng Meng, The Axemaster, and use the Dread Axe to open up the path ahead after the boss arena to The Axemaster’s Holding Cell bell.

From the bell, move out of the gate, but instead of taking the bridge straight ahead with the 2 guards with shields, take a path to the left which winds downwards.to a stream. Defeat the enemies here and get the Blood-Stopper Vine at the end of the path.
Ingredient # 2 – Congealeaf

This one is more complicated – defeat The Hunt to unlock the Hunter’s Chain Sickle. Then, use it to get the Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Key – the orange glowing shiny that you were not able to reach earlier, from the Valley Sha-Chi Summit bell.

Make your way to the Creek Valley Plains Entrance bell, unlock the door, take the path that winds upwards, and stick to the right. You will come across a bridge, and another bell – the Long Pillar Overlook bell.

From here, go right, cross the bridge, defeat the set of 3 enemies, and scale the wall to get to the other side. Straight ahead on the cliff face will be Congealeaf – the 2nd ingredient that Yu’er requested as part of the Apprentice Healer side quest.

This area is an important one for upgrades – you need to pass this way to collect both an Amber Shard and a Blackstone Shard, so it makes sense to do all of these together when you are in the area.
Ingredient # 3 – Blemish Goldweed
To collect the final ingredient for the Apprentice Healer quest, you need to get the Rusted Loong Key. Fortunately, this does not take much doing – if you have reached the Long Pillar Overlook bell, you would have looted the chest next to it – which contains this Key.
Now, from the exact point that you collected Congealeaf, on the right, you would have seen a locked gate. Use the key to open it, and proceed straight ahead, defeating enemies along the way. At the very end, use the Dread Axe to open up the path to the Weeping Creek Long Bell.

Continue straight from there, past the dragon with the red miasma surrounding it, and you will spot an orange shiny straight ahead. Collect it to get Blemish Goldweed.
Apprentice Healer – Rewards

Return to Yu’er at the Outpost, and she will be happy for having received everything needed for the recipe. In return, she hands you the Medicine Case accessory, which increases healing from Medicine by 20%. Till the time you get skills that return health on executions and assassinations, this is a pretty useful accessory to keep.
With this, we have completed one of the two requests that Yu’er has for us … for now, in Phantom Blade Zero.
