Steal a Brainrot has unsurprisingly become one of Roblox’s biggest hits, surpassing 70 billion visits and 24 million players as of writing. Open TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Roblox itself, and you’ll probably come across clips of players sprinting across the lobby with a Tralalero Tralala or a Skibidi Toilet in their hands at the same time half the server chases them down. If you even have half an idea of what Steal a Brainrot is about, then you know how valuable these in-game Brainrots are.
Sure, the premise sounds absolutely ridiculous, but I also jumped on the hype train and saw what the hype is about. Inspired by the viral “Italian Brainrot” meme trend, the game mixes idle progression, tycoon mechanics, and PvP into one tightly addictive loop. This combination of meme culture, simple mechanics, and unpredictable player interactions (stealing) helped the game explode in popularity across Roblox, and it’s still going strong.
What is Steal a Brainrot?

Steal a Brainrot is a multiplayer Roblox experience created by SpyderSammy and developed under DoBig Studios. Instead of focusing on combat or long quests, the game revolves around meme-inspired Italian Brainrots that automatically generate money for your base.
The better their rarity, the more money they generate per second. Players can either purchase them from the Red Carpet/Conveyor Belt or steal them directly from other players’ Bases with their Gear. You can also roll for a chance to obtain rare Brainrots in exclusive Lucky Blocks, which are basically Steal a Brainrot’s version of a lootbox.
Buy Brainrots, Generate Income, Steal Brainrots, Repeat
Every player starts with a free Starter Base and 100$. Your first job in the game is to purchase a Noobini Pizzanini, a Common-tier Brainrot, then make your way up from there. As Brainrots earn passive income, you can afford higher-tier characters that produce even more money and purchase better Bases.
Eventually, your base becomes filled with increasingly valuable Brainrots, allowing you to progress toward upgrades and Rebirths. But the catch is you need to protect your Brainrots with your Base Shields or using Gears.
Once opportunities to steal appear, other players can invade your Base and try to carry your Brainrots back to theirs. If they manage to escape, that Brainrot becomes theirs instead of yours. Likewise, you can do the same thing to everyone else on the server, which is where the “Steal” part of “Steal a Brainrot” comes into play.
Like other Roblox experiences, this Brainrot game also features weekly updates. Currently, the Futbol Update is all the rage among the community, directly tying into the FIFA World Cup 2026 and adding football-themed Brainrots, Traits and more to the experience.
How Does Steal a Brainrot Work?

At its core, Steal a Brainrot follows a straightforward gameplay loop that’s easy to learn but surprisingly difficult to master. Even after more than half a year playing this game, trying to get Secret Brainrots, let alone OG, feels like fighting for my life.
If you’re new to the game, then you should focus on the Red Carpet, where Brainrots continuously appear. Each one has a different price and rarity, so early on, you’ll only be able to afford the cheaper options. Once purchased, that Brainrot automatically moves into your base and starts producing money per second.
Earning Income Through Brainrots
Every Brainrot functions as an income generator. The more valuable your collection becomes, the faster your cash grows. There are no enemies to defeat or missions to complete, which is typical for most other Roblox experiences. In Steal a Brainrot, most of your progress comes from letting your Brainrots work for you while you watch for better opportunities, Brainrots, Traits, and more. You can even sell duplicate Brainrots at the Sell Shop to earn more Cash and clear up space.
As your Cash pile increases, you’ll unlock better Gear and permanent upgrades through Rebirths that make your Base stronger or improve your overall progression. Managing your money becomes important because spending everything on a single expensive purchase isn’t always the smartest move if you can’t protect it afterwards.
Stealing Brainrots
Now you know where the game gets its name. If another player’s defenses leave an opening, you can enter their Base, grab one of their valuable Brainrots, and attempt to carry it back to your own base before they stop you. Successful steals instantly strengthen your collection without waiting for the Red Carpet to spawn another valuable Brainrot. Of course, the opposite is also true. Every expensive Brainrot you own becomes a target for everyone else, unless you’re enjoying yourself on a Private Server.
The Rebirth System
Once you meet specific money and Brainrot requirements, you can perform a Rebirth. Rebirthing resets much of your current progress, but in exchange, you receive permanent benefits such as Cash multipliers, access to new Shop items, new permanent Gear unlocks, and additional Base improvements. I’d recommend going for Rebirths as soon as you meet the requirements to generate more Cash, earn more Traits, and become a better overall Steal a Brainrot player.
Why Is Steal a Brainrot So Popular?

Roblox gets dozens of new tycoon games every month, but very few become household names like Steal a Brainrot has. It has become so popular that even Epic Games officially licensed Steal a Brainrot for a Fortnite Creative version called Steal the Brainrot, which was released last July.
However, the biggest contributing factor to this game’s success is its Italian Brainrot imagery, which emerged from some absurd AI-generated images that spread across TikTok and YouTube in early 2025.
These surreal internet characters with intentionally nonsensical names and exaggerated designs are at the heart of Steal a Brainrot. Even players who had never touched Roblox recognized many of these memes from TikTok and YouTube, making the game instantly familiar.
For example, you might have never played Steal a Brainrot well enough to recognize the Brainrots. But, you’re already familiar with Tralalero Tralala, Tung Tung Sahur, Gangster Footera, Trippi Troppi, and many more.
Weekly Updates Boost Popularity
The developers SpyderSammy and DoBig Studios regularly introduce new Brainrots, Traits, events, balancing changes, and progression systems. As I mentioned earlier, Steal a Brainrot is currently running the Futbol Update, integrating the World Cup with the Brainrot experience.
So fans of both Roblox and football are feasting on two cakes right now. Limited-time content gives experienced players a reason to return while also giving newcomers fresh goals to chase.
New Brainrots, New Reasons to Play
The pursuit of Brainrot is also what makes this experience really addictive. I don’t know how many hours I’ve spent simply chasing Mythic, Brainrot God, and Secret-rarity Brainrots in the game. Once you get your hands on one of them, you can earn billions of Cash per second.
Let me give you an example: Dragon Cannelloni spawns at the Red Carpet with an extremely low chance and costs $250B. But you’ll also earn $250M per second if you manage to snag it. Naturally, those rare Brainrots also become the most desirable targets for thieves.
As the game has evolved, the roster has expanded to over 460 characters, introducing hundreds of Brainrots inspired by internet memes. Some appear regularly on the Conveyor Belt while others are tied to limited-time events or special mechanics like Fuse Machines or Witch Pots, making them much harder to obtain.
Traits Amplify Progression
Another layer of progression comes from Traits. Certain Brainrots can spawn with special Traits or Mutations that improve their value or earning potential, making an already rare Brainrot even more desirable.
Experienced players often prioritize traited Brainrots because they offer better long-term returns and can become among the most valuable collectibles in the game. So, when you get your hands on them, you’ll be chasing this high throughout the rest of your playtime in Steal a Brainrot.
Is Steal a Brainrot Worth Playing?

After spending dozens of hours in Steal a Brainrot across multiple updates, I’d say yes, absolutely. I can understand why it has remained one of Roblox’s biggest hits well into 2026. At its core, the game mixes idle income with PvP raiding.
It’s easy to think that it’s just another quick gimmick built around internet memes and Italian Brainrots. But the constant pressure of protecting my Base while looking for opportunities to steal from other players kept every session unpredictable. As I mentioned, I’m still chasing that high of getting my first Secret Brainrot, La Vacca Saturno Saturnita.
Developers SpyderSammy and DoBig Studios have continued to release regular updates throughout 2026, adding new Brainrots, events, and progression systems that make returning feel more worthwhile, such as the Futbol Update. Trust me, you’ll rarely find yourself staring at passive income and waiting for numbers to increase, because the gameplay’s just that addictive.
Most of my time was spent checking nearby Bases for valuable Brainrots, staring at the Red Carpet or participating in limited-time events. I’d also recommend joining the game on Tuesdays for their Taco Tuesday events, a fun Admin Abuse event by the developers. This exponentially increases your chance to get high-tier Brainrots, Taco-themed Traits, Lucky Blocks and much more, so that’s another reason to jump on the hype train.
The game is not perfect by any means. Premium Gear and paid advantages can make progression easier, particularly on public servers where experienced players already have massive collections, thanks to their wallet full of Robux. But, as of 2026, I still think Steal a Brainrot is worth playing if you enjoy competitive Roblox games with long-term progression.
The meme theme may grab people’s attention first, but it is the mix of base management, raiding, collecting, and frequent content updates that has allowed the game to hold onto a massive player base long after its viral launch. My advice? Test the waters. You can always back out if you don’t like it. On the off-chance that you do end up liking it, you’ll have a new Roblox obsession to gush over!
