Team-Ups are one of the most unique mechanics in Marvel Rivals. Unlike traditional hero abilities, Team-Ups allow specific heroes to unlock powerful synergy effects that can completely change how a match plays out.

As the roster continues to grow, so does the number of available Team-Ups. However, not every synergy offers the same value. In this Marvel Rivals Team-Ups tier list, I have tried to rank every current Team-Up based on overall impact and effectiveness across different matches.

    Team-Ups Tier List Overview

    TierTeam-Up
S-tierExplosive Entanglement, Vibrant Vitality, Lucky Loan, Arcane Order, Psionite Mayhem, Sword of Duality, Deep Wrath, Mr. Pool’s Interdimensional Toy Box
A-tierBless of the Kumiho, Gamma Charge, Divine Armory, Symbiote Shenanigans, Blast Slash, Primal Flame
B-tierRocket Network, Blade of Khonshu, Chilling Assault, Cosmic Cyclone, Parker Power-Up, Primal Punishment, Bestial Hunt, Stark Protocol
C-tierGamma Fastball, Planet X Pals, First Steps, Stars Aligned

How Team-Ups Work in Marvel Rivals

Team-Ups activate automatically when specific heroes are selected together, unlocking unique synergy effects that cannot be obtained through normal abilities.

These effects vary significantly. Some grant additional offensive options, while others focus on utility, crowd control, survivability, or team support.

One mistake I frequently see is players forcing weak Team-Ups at the expense of stronger hero compositions. Many players fail to build around their Team-Up’s strengths. Even the strongest synergy loses value if the team composition does not support it.

I would suggest players first focus on individual character selection rather than Team-Ups. However, if you don’t want to make the same mistakes as other players while selecting Team-Ups, follow the tier list given below.

    S-Tier Team-Ups

    Team-UpCharacters
Explosive EntanglementGambit + Magneto + Rogue
Vibrant VitalityMantis + Groot + Loki
Lucky Loan Black Cat + Captain America + White Fox
Arcane OrderDoctor Strange + Scarlet Witch + Magik
Psionite MayhemInvisible Woman + Doctor Strange
Sword of DualityCloak & Dagger + Hawkeye + Psylocke
    Deep WrathHela + Namor
Mr. Pool’s Interdimensional Toy BoxDeadpool + Elsa Bloodstone + Jeff the Land Shark

S-Tier Team-Ups provide exceptional value with minimal drawbacks. They fit naturally into many compositions and remain effective regardless. These synergies consistently influence team fights and often provide enough value to justify hero selections on their own.

    Explosive Entanglement

In my opinion, Explosive Entanglement, Arcane Order, Deep Wrath, and Sword of Duality provide the most impactful offensive Team-Ups. On the other hand, you can opt for Vibrant Vitality, Lucky Loan, Psionite Mayhem, and Mr. Pool’s Interdimensional Toy Box if you are looking for strong utility and versatility.

    A-Tier Team-Up

    Team-UpCharacters
Bless of the KumihoWhite Fox + Luna Snow
Gamma ChargeHulk + The Thing + Black Panther
    Divine ArmoryAngela + Thor
Symbiote ShenanigansJeff the Land Shark + Venom + Hela
    Blast SlashCyclops + Wolverine
Primal FlamePhoenix + Black Widow + Wolverine

A-Tier Team-Ups are extremely strong but generally require better conditions or specific team compositions to maximize their effectiveness. I prefer to go for these Team-Ups when the S-tier ones are hurting the team composition.

    Gamma Charge

However, do not consider these Team-Ups weak in any manner. They can turn the tide of the game if utilized properly. I find Gamma Charge, Blast Slash, and Primal Flame the best out of the bunch, based on pure damage dealing.

    B-Tier Team-Ups

    Team-UpCharacters
Rocket NetworkRocket Raccoon + Star-Lord + Mister Fantastic
Blade of Khonshu Moon Knight + Blade
Chilling AssaultLuna Snow + Iron Fist + Emma Frost
    Cosmic CycloneStorm + Adam Warlock
    Parker Power-UpPeni Parker + Spider-Man
Primal Punishment Devil Dinosaur + The Punisher
    Bestial HuntDaredevil + The Punisher
Stark ProtocolIron Man + Ultron + Squirrel Girl

B-Tier Team-Ups are perfectly playable but tend to be more situational or outclassed by higher-ranked options. I would recommend going for these as the last resort if any of the above Team-Ups are not viable.

    Chilling Assault
Chilling Assault Team-Up (Image via NetEase Games)

They either involve heroes with a high learning curve (like Parker Power-Up and Stark Protocol) or have low impact on games (like Chilling Assault). While the output of these Team-Ups is not on the level of the above ones, they can still take you out of tough situations.

    C-Tier Team-Ups

    Team-UpCharacters
Gamma Fastball Wolverine + Hulk + The Thing
Planet X PalsGroot + Jeff the Land Shark + Rocket Raccoon
First StepsHuman Torch + The Thing
Stars AlignedCaptain America + Winter Soldier

C-Tier Team-Ups are not necessarily bad, but they provide less value compared to most other options currently available. Gamma Fastball, one of the earliest Team-Ups still in the game, remains fun and iconic but is often too situational to justify building around.

    Planet X Pals
Planet X Pals Team-Up (Image via NetEase Games)

Planet X Pals and First Steps offer limited impact compared to stronger support-oriented Team-Ups. While Stars Aligned can occasionally contribute meaningful utility, its overall impact is generally lower than most alternatives.

My advice would be to avoid these Team-Ups as the primary reason for making a team. If you get these by chance, then they can provide a little perk, but don’t expect too much out of them.

    Final Thoughts

Team-Ups continue to be one of Marvel Rivals’ most interesting systems, adding another layer of depth to team composition and hero selection.

At the moment, Explosive Entanglement, Vibrant Vitality, Lucky Loan, Arcane Order, and Psionite Mayhem sit at the top of the hierarchy thanks to their consistency and game-changing potential. Meanwhile, lower-tier Team-Ups can still find success, especially in coordinated teams that understand how to maximize their strengths.

As future balance patches arrive and new heroes enter the roster, expect the Team-Up meta to evolve alongside them. There will be newer Team-Ups as newer characters get added.

What is the best Team-Up in Marvel Rivals?

Explosive Entanglement and Vibrant Vitality are currently among the strongest Team-Ups due to their consistency and overall match impact.

How do Team-Ups activate in Marvel Rivals?

Team-Ups activate automatically when the required heroes are selected together in a team composition.

Are Team-Ups required to win matches?

No. Strong hero fundamentals remain more important, though powerful Team-Ups can provide a significant advantage.

Which Team-Ups are best for beginners?

Lucky Loan, Vibrant Vitality, and Deep Wrath are relatively easy to gain value from and work well in a variety of team compositions.
