    Summary

    • With the latest update to Crimson Desert, you can finally tame the Abyss Heuklang.
    • This new pet can only be found in the Abyss, as its name suggests.
    • One easy location to tame this pet is at the Axiom Archive.

With the release of the latest Crimson Desert update (Version 1.04.00), the Abyss Heuklang has now become a tameable pet. It acts exactly like a cat would, by helping you collect items from the battlefield. The pet even sits on your shoulder as any cat would!

Unlike other regular dogs and cats, where you have to maximize their trust to 100 to tame them, no such trust is necessary for the Abyss Heuklang.

You can straight away tame an Abyss Heuklang, as long as you are near one. Once close enough, you will see two options to choose from:

    • Take In
    • Carry

The option to pick here is Take In. If you select this, the Abyss Heuklang will get registered as a pet, and should disappear (this happens because pets are not summonable in the Abyss). Dive down from the Abyss to Pywel to be able to summon this pet.

Moreover, doing this for the first time will also give you knowledge about the creature.

As its name suggests, you have to head to the Abyss to locate this pet. Fortunately, the first time you head to the Abyss is quite early on in the game. The Axiom Archive is your introduction to the Abyss, and it also has an Abyss Heuklang inside.

This is also the same location where we first found an Abyss Heuklang. Just walk straight from the Axiom Archive Abyss Nexus towards the central building. Right outside the building, turn right, and you will see this mysterious creature on top of a pillar.

The Abyss Heuklang is found in the Mysterious Creature tab of the Journal, under the Chimera section.

A peculiar beast with soft, glossy black fur. Its sleek build, and silent tread allow it to move without a sound. Though naturally wary and difficult to approach, it becomes fiercely loyal and deeply affectionate to anyone who earns its trust.
