    Summary

    • The Frost Spike Abyss Gear is one of the best Abyss Gears in Crimson Desert.
    • You have to defeat Beloth the Darksworn boss to get this item.
    • It is equipped on Melee weapons, and activates on a Turning Slash.

Abyss Gears are the core part of any build in Crimson Desert, and the Frost Spike Abyss Gear is particularly strong. You can equip it on any melee weapon to enhance your Turning Slash. It is particularly effective to deal damage over a larger range. However, you must defeat a particularly hard boss to get this item.

This item cannot be obtained normally from random items and drops. Instead, you must defeat Beloth the Darksworn. You will get this item right away upon defeating this boss.

However, this is easier said than done. You can only fight Beloth after completing Chapter Six of the main story. However, we would not recommend fighting him until you reach at least Chapter Eight or Nine. He will outclass you in most cases before that.

Beloth the Darksworn is part of the White Blizzard questline. You can head to the boss arena anytime after Chapter 6 of the main story to initiate this fight. He is located in the Hoenmark Ruins, which is in the north-west part of Hernand.

You can get a marker for the White Blizzard quest line by talking to the injured soldiers at the Argent Peaks outpost.

What Does Frost Spike Abyss Gear Do in Crimson Desert?

You can only equip this gear on melee weapons like swords, spears, etc. Its in-game effect reads as follows:

Frost Spike: Summons a wave of frozen spikes in a frontal cone to deal additional damage.

This Abyss Gear triggers when you use a Turning Slash (R1 + R2/RB + RT). This makes it a great find for melting boss bars and dealing damage to large hordes of enemies.
