Several events in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road take place during a specific time. While you can wait around, undertaking side quests, and killing time, the game also offers a creative solution for changing the in-game time. Read on to find out about the mystical Kraken Statues that allow you to change time!

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Day Night Cycle – Explained

The day-night cycle in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road refers to the in-game ability to change time. This ability allows you to change the in-game time within seconds, negating the need for you to wait around for the night to fall or the day to rise. This ability comes in especially handy in the later stages of the Main Story, when you have to meet with specific Students or NPCs at a particular time and day.

How to unlock the Time Change ability

You will gain this ability to change the time simply by playing through the game’s Main Story. Keep on playing the main story and level up your characters to progress faster. During Chapter 7, you will be tasked with a side quest called ‘Kraken Hunt‘. This quest will have you photograph various Kraken Statues (displayed in the image above).

To unlock the time-changing ability, undertake the sidequest in the Nagumohara region. When you enter the School Road for the first time, a side quest will pop up. This quest requires that you take photos of all Kraken Statues you can find. Doing so will unlock the Time-changing ability. Once it is unlocked, simply approach any Kraken Statue, interact with it, and change the in-game time to one of your choosing!

    2. Kraken Statue on the School Road: You can find the statue on the left side of the stairs that you use to get from the School to the road.
    3. Kraken Statue in the Nagumohara Station: You can find the statue smack dab in the middle of the Nagumohara Station map. It will be placed on the sidewalk.
    4. Kraken Statue in the Nagumoahara Port: You can find the statue near the railings, in the grass, in the northwestern section of the map.

    FAQs

How can I change the time in the Story Mode?

Interact with any of the Kraken Statues spread throughout the game’s map to change the time during the Story Mode. Beware that you will only be able to do so after completing the Kraken Hunt (Chapter 7) in the story mode. Only once the game itself offers you a tutorial about changing the time, you’ll be able to do so.

Why is the Time Change button not appearing near the Kraken Statue?

You might be playing a Main Story Quest where the time-changing ability is purposefully turned off. There are certain main quests in the game where you’re not allowed to change the time. Don’t worry, you will get a chance to change the time in this game after you complete the Main Quests.

What are the benefits of the time-changing ability in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road?

This ability allows you to shift the day-night cycle in a matter of seconds, eliminating the need to wait around for the day or night to undertake specific side quests or find specific NPCs that show up on the map only during a specific time of the day (or night). This ability is extremely important for completing the main storyline, after which you can unlock all story team characters.

Is there a tutorial for the Time-Changing ability?

Yes. There is a tutorial for this unique ability. You will get it during Chapter 7. This enables you to change the time for the very first… well, time. Keep in mind that some main quests in the story mode actively disable this ability. So, if you are playing, for example, the Grand Finals, you may notice that you cannot change the time. Don’t worry, though; this ability will be restored after the main quest has ended.
