How to Find Your Bunker in Misery?
Finding your way back to the bunker is not an easy task in Misery. In this game, the map is procedurally generated, so you have no clear roadmap to trace your path back home. However, no matter how far you travel, there’s an easy trick to find your way. Your Bunker in Misery can always be found on the East side of the map.

The best way to track your bunker is by using your compass. Follow these steps if you’re ever feeling lost on your way back:
- Click the I button to open your Inventory.
- Left-click the Compass icon to quip it.
- Alternatively, you can put the compass in the quick slot for easier access.
- Look for the red arrow pointing North on the compass.
- The arrow to the right of the red arrow will indicate East.
- Head in that direction.
- Your character will be holding the compass due East, thereby always pointing you home.
- Follow the East arrow till you hit the wall.
- Follow the wall till you see the entrance to your bunker.
- This entrance will be illuminated with flashing golden-orange light.

FAQs
What are bunkers used for in Misery?
Your bunker is your spawn point in Misery. It is your safehouse from the threats of the outside world. You can use this place to save your games, rest up, and most importantly, craft various items. Your bunker comes pre-fitted with a crafting bench that you can use to build various kinds of resources and items. It can be used to craft new stuff or repair weapons.
Is there any other way to find your bunker in Misery?
If you’re not too keen on using the compass, or if you’re looking for a challenge, there is another way to go about finding your way. You can always start traveling in the opposite direction (since you left the bunker earlier) until you hit the wall. Since it’s highly unlikely that you travelled in a straight line, you might have to spend a lot of time looking for the bunker entrance. However, once you find the wall, simply move alongside it to find the bunker entrance.
How can I expand my Bunker in Misery?
You will need to use a Sledgehammer to break off the concrete wall surrounding your bunker to expand it. Sledgehammer can be found pretty early on in the game, around the cluster of abandoned houses. Once you have it, simply approach a wall inside your bunker and begin breaking it. When you expand your bunker, you can start putting more stuff in there, enhancing your chances of survival.
How can I get electricity in my Bunker?
You will need to acquire a Generator, some Gasoline, and some wires to light up your bunker in Misery. Alternatively, you can also use a Car Battery, a Splitter, and a Cable to power up some lamps. Furthermore, you can also craft a Dwarf Generator or a Wooden Wind Turbine to create electricity in your bunker. Your bunker comes pre-fitted with a generator, but you will need Gasoline to start it up.
