Dispatch – Answer the Reporter vs Attack vs Leave Explained

Dispatch – When does the Answer the Reporter or Attack or Leave trigger?

Having narrowly escaped from the Shroud, you will be thrown into another kind of battle – a press conference. With his Mecha Suit destroyed and having spent months in a coma, Robert finally wakes up to face the press.
The first two questions asked by the reporters will have no consequences. The choices you make will result simply in the progression of the story. However, the third question – an emotionally charged one – which was asked by Charles Kingsley, will have some serious consequences.
When the reporters ask Robert if his Mecha Suit is beyond repair or if he’s taking early retirement, Robert will simply brush them off. However, Charles Kingsley, almost trying to get a rise out of him, will invoke his dead father and accuse Robert of failing to avenge him.
Kingsley will ask a charged question, asking Robert why he did not avenge his father. He also questions why the Shroud did not kill Robert. Accusing that his father and grandfather must be rolling over in their graves, Kingsley blames Robert for destroying their legacy.
Now, you (as Robert) are presented with three options: Answer, Attack, or Leave.
FAQs
What’s the best choice between Attack Vs Answer Vs Leave?
While there is no ‘right’ answer, we recommend sticking with answering the question. Robert answers the question in all sincerity and humility, causing his reputation to go up. You don’t want people to think of you as a washed-up nepo baby, do you?
Will my choice have an immediate impact on the gameplay?
No. The game will go on in the same way, regardless of your choice. However, this choice will affect your long-term progress. It will change the public’s perception of you. In terms of gameplay, you will still be met with some punks breaking into an electronics store while you are watching the televised press conference in the storefront.
