In Dreadzone, The Lost Key quest is part of a continuing mission chain that eventually asks you to locate and retrieve Key 331. While your GPS leads you to the general area, the key itself isn’t in plain sight, and the environment can be slightly misleading.

The Lost Key Walkthrough in Dreadzone
1) Follow Your GPS to the Marked Area
Once the mission instructs you to search for and retrieve Key 331, open your GPS and follow the path to the designated zone. You will arrive at an area with a pond, which might lead you to believe that the key is located here. However, the key is not in the pond, and searching in that area will only cause confusion.
This step is crucial: once you reach the pond, turn around and continue walking past it.
Head Toward the Church like Structure
After passing through the water area and continuing ahead, you will come across a structure that resembles a church. This is your next destination. Simply walk directly into the church to enter; there are no puzzles or locked doors to navigate. Once inside, take a left turn to exit toward the side of the church.
Locate the Container Above the Cemetery Casket
After making the left turn, you will enter a cemetery area located right behind the church. Pay attention to the second cement casket on your left side; a container is placed on top of it. Nearby, you will also find a skeleton. This is the correct location. The key you are looking for, Key 331, is located inside this container. Approach it and interact with the prompt to collect the key.
Be Prepared for Zombies
While moving through this section, there’s a high chance you’ll encounter zombies, possibly one or two. These enemies can still chase and attack even after being shot in the head. Using a handgun might not stop them immediately.
We recommend switching to an Axe. Attack until the zombie stops moving. Once it’s down, you can search their bodies by pressing F. You might find small collectibles or items, though they are not required for completing the mission.
Once you’ve collected Key 331 from the container, the objective will be marked as complete, and you can proceed to the next part of your mission .
