What is the Dark Fog Lantern in Crimson Desert
This is essentially just a different-looking lantern that you can use. It does not have any extra or special effects, despite its description. You can equip the Dark Fog Lantern in the lantern slot and then use it as you would normally.
The in-game description reads:
A lantern with decorative elements, built to withstand rain and wind. Its light is able to pierce through the darkest depths of any fog cloud, hence its name.

How To Get the Dark Fog Lantern in Crimson Desert
You will need to complete the entirety of the House Alfonso Faction Quests line. There are three quests here, split into five different sub-groups. These are:
- On the Speartip Once Again
- Piercing Spear
- The Crimson-Stained Speartip
- House of Spears
- Inadequecy
- Graham Alfonso
- The Weight of Legacy
- Transcendent Structure
- Peculiar Structure
Note: If the House Alfonso quest line has not started yet, make sure to complete the House Roberts Faction Quests. This includes defeating the hard Crimson Nightmare boss. Afterwards, report the same, and ensure to wait for some time. You can pass the time by sleeping for 12 hours and check House Alfonso’s availability again.
You get the Dark Fog Lantern for completing the Transcendent Structure (Peculiar Structure) mission.

How To Complete the Transcendent Structure Quest in Crimson Desert
Firstly, you must complete the previous two quests in the House Alfonso quest line. After those two are done, you will start this quest.
This is not a challenging quest. Although it sounds mysterious from its name, the end location is one you are quite familiar with. Simply approach the mission marker, and you will find an Abyss Nexus in the area.
Stand on it to unlock it, and deliver the report. This will finish the quest and get you a new lantern to use. Moreover, House Alfonso will join forces with the Greymanes faction, increasing your reputation in Hernand significantly.
