How To Unlock the Ranch in Crimson Desert

You will first have to expand the Greymanes Camp once. After this, follow these steps:
- Open the Journal.
- Go to the Factions Quest > Greymanes > Grounds of the Sunrise > Gathered Will section.
- You should be able to start the A Rumour in Goldleaf Trading Post quest.
- This will let you recruit Ben to the Greymanes camp.

Once he has arrived, talk to Ben to start the Field of Abundance quest. For this, you have to go to Ross and start a dispatch to build a ranch at Howling Hill.
This is an 18 hour dispatch mission, and requires a considerable amount of resources.

How To Get Farm Animals in Your Crimson Desert Ranch

There are two methods you can use to get animals for the ranch. These are:
- Catching wild animals: You can roam the open world of Pywel and find various animals in different locations. These include wild pigs, goats, cows, and more. You can carry or ride lots of these back to the ranch, and get them registered. Make sure that you get a cutscene and a message that the animal has been added to the ranch. You may not get this if, for example, your ranch is full and can no longer accommodate any more animals. If that is the case, go to Manage Ranch, and sell a few animals to free up space.
- Trust to 100: You can buy animals from various NPCs as well. However, some of these might need to be raised to 100 Trust (by giving them items). Some of the vendors who can sell animals are:
- Chicken: Ben (after you build the ranch)
- Pig: Ben (trust 100)
- Cow: Bremer (trust 100)
- Sheep: William (trust 100)
- Goats: Ibano (trust 100)
- Lamb: Willian (trust 100)
- Stealing! Like all things, you can also steal animals and ride them back to your camp. Keep in mind, though, all mechanics and penalties if caught for stealing successfully remain the same.

How To Feed and Level Up Livestock in Crimson Desert

You can feed the animals at your ranch to level them up. This lets you eventually sell them at a bigger profit, which is a nice incentive. The intended method seems to be to use the Feed Bins located inside the ranch.
However, from testing, it seems to be more efficient to simply drop the food you are feeding them on the ground instead. This will lure the animals from various corners of the ranch to come and eat the food.
Each animal has their own preferred taste, but some of the best food items are:
- Grains like barley
- Fruits like apples
Note: Meat and animal products do not seem to work in this category.
How To Make Animals Breed in Crimson Desert
This process occurs automatically. So, you do not have to worry about it. However, it can only occur if you have a male and female species of the same animal within the ranch.
The game will not give you any notification regarding this event. So, you have to look out for this event on your own.
