The Complete Atlyss Bandit Build Guide

By RishiJuly 10, 20257 Mins Read

Among all classes, the Atlyss Bandit Build stands out due to its fast and agile playstyle, which revolves around precise movement, high critical hit rates, and evasion. It is not designed for taking hits or playing defensively; instead, it focuses on maintaining mobility and dealing consistent ranged damage.

Let’s look at how to make the most of the Atlyss Bandit Build, including the best skills to choose, ideal gear setups, and practical combat strategies that work from early game through endgame.

How To Unlock the Bandit Class in Atlyss

Once your character reaches level 10, you can visit Sally outside Angela’s library to start the Devious Pact quest. Accepting this quest will add the Tome of the Bandit to your inventory, which you can use to unlock the class. Be sure to reset your skills afterward.

The Bandit doesn’t wield a shield or traditional defence. Instead, you gain tools for breaking armor, controlling groups, and moving faster than most enemies can follow. The trade-off is that you must be more active as skills need to be timed, and healing or resetting requires disengaging, not soaking damage.

    You’ll mostly rely on:

    • Debuffing skills to reduce enemy armor or slow them down.
    • Mobility tools to keep fights under control.
    • Precision attacks that provide incentives for remaining mobile.

Here are the skills for the Bandit class in Atlyss:

    1) Venom Shot

Venom Shot fires a poisoned arrow that deals damage over time and reduces the enemy’s armor. It is best for ranged builds, and its real value is in the armor debuff, not the damage. Focus on maxing out this skill if you rely on ranged attacks. Also, melee builds can skip it unless you badly need armor reduction.

    2) Killer Jab

Killer Jab is a melee strike that deals strong burst damage while lowering armor and movement speed. It is excellent for melee users, especially against high-defence enemies. If you’re somehow a ranged user, you can ignore it unless playing a hybrid style.

    3) Volley

Fires at a targeted area, Volley deals with sustained damage over time in a small circle. It is helpful for ranged players dealing with large groups. Also, it is not ideal for melee combat due to its aim-and-charge requirement.

    4) Payday

This melee is an effective attack that damages and stuns foes for a bit, causing them to drop more money. It is primarily designed for melee builds because it can hit several targets while providing good crowd control. Also, it’s not recommended for a ranged fighter, because it requires you to go into melee.

    5) Bomb Trap

It drops a bomb at your location that explodes shortly after, causing damage and knocking enemies back. This ability is effective for both ranged and melee combat. It is easy to use, has a short cooldown, and is reliable for relieving pressure or zoning enemies.

    6) Mist Veil

Mist Veil makes you invisible and heals you gradually, as well as ends early if you attack or get hit.
It is perfect for escaping dangerous situations and healing safely. Works with items and is one of the most versatile survival tools in the kit.

    7) Devious Signet

This skill buffs nearby allies with increased evasion and crit chance for 35 seconds with only a 5-second downtime. It is Ideal in co-op but still strong in solo, especially for crit-based or evasive builds.

    8) Agile Technique (Passive)

This skill gives you extra movement abilities like a triple jump. I recommend taking the first level for the mobility boost. Also, its further ranks aren’t worth it; it’s better to invest elsewhere.

    9) Leg Up

A movement and evasion boost skill you can find early on in the Catacombs. It makes dodging more responsive and helps keep you mobile.

    10) Spreadshot

This skill is practical when fully upgraded, letting you fire up to seven arrows at once. Ideal when enemies group up.

    11) Ranged Mastery

It boosts your fire rate by 20%, making both Spreadshot and charged attacks more consistent.

The best Atlyss Bandit build – Reliable, mobile, and crit-heavy

This build focuses entirely on Dexterity. Every stat point goes into it, so there is no mix, no split. It supports both critical hit rate and evasion, which are the two core mechanics this build relies on. By the time you’re well into the late game, you should be seeing around 18% crit chance and 7% evasion as base values. Once buffs are active, these numbers improve significantly, reaching around 33% crit and 38% evasion, depending on your gear and enchantments.

It is designed to scale with your gear over time, so it keeps improving as you unlock new enchantments and stat-based items. I also recommend enchanting your gear with Precise, as it directly supports your crit stats.

Before any fight or as it begins, two buffs should always be activated: Leg Up and Devious Signet. Both of these are essential for the build. Ensure you monitor their duration as they make a noticeable difference in how the build performs, especially in more protracted battles.

Once buffs are up, you’ll rotate through a few core skills depending on the situation, like: Spreadshot, Bomb Trap, Ranged Mastery and Charged bow attack.

Atlyss Bandit Build: Recommended Gears and Where to Find Them

As mentioned above, all gear in this build should be enchanted with Precise, and every item supports dexterity scaling, critical chance, or evasion. Here’s the setup that can be used:

    • Glyphgrift Halo – Can be found in a chest at Crescent Grove.
    • Meshlink Cape – It is dropped in Crescent Grove.
    • Chainscale Chest – It can be bought from Craig at Wall of Stars or found in Crescent Grove chests.
    • Slash Leggings – It is dropped by the Colossus boss.
    • Coldgeist Bow – It is fallen by Lord Kaluuz in Sanctum Catacombs, floors 12–18.
    • Jade Trout Ring – It is dropped in Crescent Grove or can be bought from Craig.

Tip: If you haven’t reached endgame yet, aim to collect any gear that improves Dex power, evasion, or crit. Early drops from Catacombs pots and chests, or the Lord Kooo fight, can offer solid gear to begin with.

Atlyss Bandit Build: Battle Strategy & Tips

Avoid heavy hits (Image via KisSoft)
    • Positioning, timing and mobility are more important in this situation than in regular encounters: this build isn’t designed to withstand heavy hits.
    • For ranged players, I recommend combining Bomb Trap with Venom Shot to keep enemies at bay while steadily applying damage.
    • For melee players, rotate between Killer Jab and Payday while weaving in Bomb Trap to interrupt or escape. Payday adds a short stun, use it to reposition. If you want a safety net, pick up Sturdy for automatic parries.
    • When overwhelmed, don’t hesitate to push back. Use Mist Veil to vanish and heal, then re-engage with Devious Signet active for better crits, stamina, and evasion.
    • If survival is an issue, adding a few points into Health helps, especially without hurting your crit output too much once gear is optimized.
    • The key with Bandit is momentum. As long as you manage spacing, rotate your skills, and keep buffs active, you’ll handle most situations, even bosses, without needing to tank through anything.

This concludes our guide on Atlyss Bandit Build.
