Abiotic Factor is a lot of fun, but it doesn’t have an easy way to use cheats or make your own rules. However, this doesn’t mean that a way doesn’t exist, there are always things you can do.
Before you download mods and mess with scripting, remember that this could mess up your game. If anything bad happens, you’ll likely need to uninstall and reinstall the game.
How Do I Get to Use Console Commands in Abiotic Factor?
To use console commands in Abiotic Factor for cheating, you will first need to install the UE4SS mod (Unreal Engine 4 Scripting System). Make sure you have the newest version that works with the game. This mod lets you open the in-game console, which is necessary for entering cheat commands. After installing UE4SS, download the Cheat Console Commands mod and unzip its files into the right folder inside your Abiotic Factor game folder.
The correct folder path should look something like “(game root directory)\AbioticFactor\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\CheatConsoleCommands”. Check that the ‘CheatConsoleCommands’ folder includes both a ‘Scripts’ folder and an ‘enabled.txt’ file to make sure it was installed properly.

Once the mod is set up correctly, start Abiotic Factor. To open the console while playing, press either the F10 key or the tilde (~) key. Pressing the key once opens a “quick type” mode, and pressing it twice shows the full console window. To see a list of all the commands you can use, type “help” into the console. This will show you every available command. If you want more details about a specific command, type “help (command alias)”, replacing “(command alias)” with the actual command name.
To use a command, just type its name into the console. Many commands work like switches, so typing the same command again will turn it off.
