    How To Play Absolum Multiplayer

By Jorge AguilarOctober 9, 20253 Mins Read

Absolum brings a solid multiplayer experience to the table. The game has ways of letting you and a friend team up to take on its challenges. The multiplayer really improves the core beat-’em-up combat, letting players combine their elemental powers and sync up their attacks for some truly incredible chained combos.

You can totally team up with a friend to take on Azra’s regime in Absolum, which has a really dynamic co-op experience. Whether you’re all about that shared couch camaraderie or you prefer the convenience of playing online, setting up a co-op game (like Nicktoons and the Dice of Destiny) is super straightforward, though it changes a little bit depending on how you want to play.

For anyone itching to jump into local co-op, first things first: you’ll need to make sure a second controller is hooked up to your system. Once that’s sorted, just head over to the co-op mode from the main menu. If you’re on PC, look for the distinct “little tree” in the initial lobby, that’s your gateway to all the multiplayer goodness.

After both players pick out their unique characters, your adventure can officially kick off. This couch co-op option is awesome because you and your friends can combine your elemental powers to unleash some incredible chained combos side-by-side, which seriously amps up the already satisfying beat-’em-up combat.

Now, if you’re planning an online co-op session, you’ve got a couple of extra things to keep in mind. Both players have to have Absolum installed on their systems, of course. The player who’s hosting the game starts by selecting the online play option in the game’s initial lobby. From there, the host can create a room and shoot an invitation over to their friend. The invited player just accepts the invite, and they’ll seamlessly pop into the lobby. Just like with local co-op, you both need to choose your characters before the host can officially start the game.

    Is Absolum Multiplayer?

Yes, Absolum has some robust multiplayer capabilities, letting you and a friend team up to take on Azra’s regime. It’s specifically designed as a two-player beat-’em-up, so you can only partner up with one other person. This co-op experience is super flexible like Tales of the Shire, supporting both local play on the same system and online multiplayer. Honestly, throwing in a co-op mode really enhances the game’s already satisfying combat.

It adds an extra layer of fun as you both combine elemental powers and synchronize attacks for some incredible chained combos. There are a few important considerations that come with Absolum’s co-op. In online mode, story progression is saved for the player who is furthest behind. This is a great, strategic move that prevents spoilers for anyone who might be experiencing the narrative for the first time.

Regardless of where you are in the story, both players keep their earned power levels and global unlocks, which makes sure your individual efforts contribute to your personal growth within the game. An interesting point is that the game’s customizable assist mode is disabled in online multiplayer in Absolom.
