Dune Awakening has a massive map to cover, and thankfully provides several ways of exploring various points of interest in the game. However, the game also emphasizes collecting resources and crafting, and for you to get these quick modes of transport, you first need to find certain materials, chief among them being Hydraulic Pistons. In this guide, we have put up the best way to get your hands on this resource in Dune Awakening.
Hydraulic Piston Location In Dune Awakening

The best place to collect a Hydraulic Piston is the western irradiated area of Sheol, located on the western edge of the map, to the left of the Vermillius Gap. In this region, you will see a Edge of Acheron point of interest where you can get your supply of Hydraulic Piston as well as Military Power Regulators.
While travelling to this area, keep the following in mind:
- It is a PVP area, so you may run into other players competing for the same loot. Come prepared with your best armor and weaponry.
- Even not counting other players, the enemies in this area hit hard, so makes all the more sense to only land here when fully prepared.
- The area surrounding this point of interest has high radiation, but as long as you are in your Ornithopter, the damage you take will not be fatal. Once you land here, radiation will not be a problem.
- If you find the containers empty, it means someone else made it to the loot first. Wait for the 45 minute reset and hit those containers again.
Hydraulic Piston Vendors In Dune Awakening

If you don’t feel like venturing out and taking risk, you can still get Hydraulic Pistons, but will need to shell out Solari to do that. You can purchase upto 15 Hydraulic Pistons from Zoe at The Crossroads Tradepost in Mysa Tarill, each for 3500 Solari.
What Are Hydraulic Pistons Used For?
Hydraulic Pistons are an essential resource for crafting Sandbikes and Ornithopters in Dune Awakening. It is also needed to craft the Tri-Forged Hydraulic Piston, which can then be used to craft high-tier engines for these vehicles.
