If you want to get the Solas Plate Armor and Boots in Crimson Desert, you have no choice but to play through the main story. However, even if you do acquire the armor, you will discover that Kliff cannot equip this armor set. There are some reasons for this, which will be discussed below, alongside how to get it as well.
How To Get Solas Plate Armor in Crimson Desert

This is the quest reward from Chapter VII (seven) of the main story, Homecoming. The fourth quest in this chapter is Twisted Fate. You get the following rewards from completing this quest:
- Solas Plate Armor
- Solas Plate Boots
- Ignir
However, do note that you need to defeat One-Armed Ludvig in a boss fight to complete this quest. Moreover, you do not play as Kliff for this period. Instead, you must use the new Oongka build that the game gives you.
How To Track and Defeat One-Armed Ludvig in Crimson Desert

Once the Time To Face Justice objective is in progress, you have to track Ludvig. You will find him in the marked area on the map (as shown above) if you keep following the trail from your Lantern.
The boss fight itself can be quite challenging, since you are using a character you will be unfamiliar with. Oongka’s main weakness is his speed, while Ludvig’s strength is his speed. Therefore, it can feel a bit unfair if you do not know the proper combination to beat him.

The RB + Y or R1 + Triangle combo is great for spamming against him. Get up close before using it, as the shoulder check can stun Ludvig, allowing you to land the subsequent hits. Apart from that, make sure to equip your food, as it is a key part of surviving the boss fight.
After the boss fight is over, return to the town and talk to your comrades to complete the mission and obtain this armor and weapon.

Solas Plate Armor Stats and Description

Kliff cannot equip the Solas Plate Armor. This is not a glitch. Instead, this armor is unique to Oongka. It comes at Refinement Level 3, which is bound to be quite a bit below your current level. Fortunately, you can refine it to Level 4 using the Refinement Token (added in Patch 1.01.00).
The stats and Abyss Gears the armor comes equipped at Refinement Level 3 are:
- Defence: 13
- Abyss Gears:
- Defence 3
- +1 Pet Trust Gain
- Health +0.2% every one second
FAQs
Why does it show ‘Unequippable’ on the Solas Plate Armor?
This message means that the armor is unequippable on the current character (likely Kliff at this stage). It can only be worn by Oongka.
Is the Solas Plate Armor good?
The equipment itself generally does not matter in this game. Instead, your Abyss Gears can turn any piece of equipment into a brick or a lethal weapon. In this case, the +1 Pet Trust Gain is quite useful. Moreover, the regeneration effect is not bad either. So, overall, it is a decent armor piece.
