Capcom announced that it’s Capcom Spotlight Event will livestream on June 26th, and will feature news, updates and developer interviews on Resident Evil: Requiem, Pragmata, and Monster Hunter: Wilds, and other games as well.
The event is expected to last for around 40 minutes, and will start at 3 pm PT/ 6 pm ET/ 11 pm BST on June 26th. You can watch the livestream on YouTube here.
This event caps what has been a busy month or so when it comes to game announcements, what with the Xbox Games Showcase, PS State of Play, Summer Games Fest all happening within the span of last month.
Resident Evil: Requiem is the 9th game in one of the most profitable franchises for CAPCOM, with a release date fixed at Feb 27, 2026; you can expect regular news, updates and trailers for the game to keep coming out as the studio builds hype and excitement around it. The game features protagonist Grace Ashcroft, working for the FBI as she works on a case at a crime scene, exactly where her mother passed away 8 years ago.
Pragmata, the other big game that CAPCOM is banking upon is a completely new IP that has had some development history: It was first supposed to release in 2022, before it was put on hold indefinitely. However, the studio now seems to be clear on the direction it is seeking to take on this, as the game premiered with a trailer during the PS State of Play event, and a hands-on experience at Summer Games Fest. The release window currently reads as 2026, so let’s see if there are any further updates on this during the Spotlight Event.
