Altheia: The Wrath of Aferi has many puzzles that take quite a while to put all the pieces together to make it work. One such interesting puzzle takes place during the first trial. The objective here is simple: you must provide proper platforming positions for a single ball to roll from one end of the room to another. While it may sound simple, pulling it off can get difficult. Here is a guide to solve the moving ball puzzle in the Trial in Altheia: The Wrath of Aferi.
Puzzle Overview

In the room, you will have four flume slides that you need to balance and properly align for the ball to pass from one end of the room to the other.
Two of the flume slides will be controlled by the robot on the right, and the two levers south of the room will handle the other two. To solve the puzzle, you will need to control the robot first to angle the first two flume slides. When the ball starts to roll, you need to use the levers to control the other two flume slides.
- First, assign Sadi to the robot on the right. This will allow you to control two of the flume slides in the middle. Now control the robot to angle the flume slides in a descending motion. Here, we want the ball to roll downwards to the next slide.
- Now get to the other side of the room, take the ball off the ground, and place it next to the barricaded bars on the top of the stairs.
- Make your way to the location with two levers and a pressure plate in the middle. The lever on the left controls the flume slide on the left, and the lever on the right controls the flume slide on the right.
- Stand on the pressure plate (like in the Laser Detection puzzle early on in the game) to remove the bars next to the ball. It will get the ball rolling on the first flume slide ahead. If the ball is not getting on this slide, then use the robot to align it again.
- Use the lever on the left to lower the flume slide to get the ball. After a few seconds, let the lever go, and you will see the ball on the second slide.
- The ball will slowly make its way to the third flume slide. If you want to angle this slide, then you can use the robot to carry out the action.
- Now head to the second lever and pull it to lower the last flume slide. And you will get the ball to successfully arrive on the other end of the room.
Leaving a small gap between the sliders will result in the ball getting stuck or falling off. Don’t remove Sadi from the robot. If you do manage to mess up the platforming angle, you can always make changes to it in the middle of the puzzle. So, always keep Sadi inside the robot and focus on the lever to properly align the rest of the flume slides.
