All Cooking Recipes in Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter

By Aaryan AdityaSeptember 23, 20256 Mins Read

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter has a unique cooking feature that goes beyond just making food. Cooking provides players with useful healing items, but the first time you eat a new dish, one of your character’s stats increases permanently.

To learn recipes, you must first eat the dish yourself. Some meals are limited to one location only, which means missing them can lock you out of a stat boost.

Just like when you unlock recipes in games like Tales of the Shire, collecting them in Trails in the Sky adds another layer of strategy to progression. This makes it important to know where every recipe can be found while progressing through the story.

Recipes in the game are mostly obtained by buying and eating meals from shops. A few can be found in treasure chests or unlocked through quests.

Since backtracking to earlier towns is not possible, it is recommended to purchase every meal when you first visit a new area. While some foods appear in multiple places, the following list covers the first point in the story where you can get each recipe.

    Prologue Meals

The prologue contains the first set of meals that introduce players to the cooking system. Most of them are simple purchases from the town’s bar and shop, but there are also rewards from sidequests and treasure chests. Getting these recipes early on gives your party an advantage before moving to the next region.

These recipes ensure a balanced start to your journey. They highlight how both shops and exploration are key to building your recipe list from the very beginning.

    Chapter 1 Meals

In Chapter 1, more recipes become available in Bose and its surrounding areas. Many are sold in markets and inns, but there are also quest rewards and a few chest discoveries.

Players should make sure to explore and talk to NPCs, as some recipes are easy to miss. In the same way that some games can make you relive some of your summer memories, these food discoveries add charm to the adventure and connect progression with exploration.

Chapter 2 introduces a wide variety of recipes across Ruan and the academy festival. Many of these are festival exclusives, which means missing them can permanently lock you out of valuable stat boosts. Visiting every shop and food stall during the school festival is especially important.

NPCs also provide meals, and some quests are directly tied to learning unique dishes. This part of the game creates a magical world that can feel somewhat similar to the world created by Magic Inn, where food and discovery are woven into the overall atmosphere of adventure.

The recipes in this chapter showcase how events and special occasions play a role in unlocking new dishes. Missing any of the festival foods can affect long-term stat growth, so thorough exploration is essential.

    Chapter 3 Meals

Chapter 3 expands the recipe list with stronger stat boosts and more variety. Several inns, bars, and a sidequest provide access to these dishes, while a key recipe is hidden in a book that must be read before finishing a quest. Careful attention is needed to avoid missing it.

    Chapter 4 Meals

The final chapter provides access to powerful recipes in Grancel. These meals often give high Support EXP or significant stat boosts. Since this is the last part of the game, it is your last chance to complete the recipe collection.
