How to Get All Costumes and Outfits in Digimon Story Time Stranger

By Jorge AguilarOctober 4, 20256 Mins Read

So, good news for all you fashion-conscious Tamers out there, Digimon Story: Time Stranger is bringing in a bunch of awesome costumes and outfits to let you totally change up how your main character looks. The big thing to know right off the bat is that these are purely cosmetic.

They won’t make your Digimon stronger or give you some secret edge in battle, but they will make you look snappier while you’re saving the world. You’re going to be able to get your hands on these new threads in a few different ways.

In Time Stranger, players can get various costumes for their character through several distinct methods, allowing for personalization beyond just their Digimon team. One primary way to obtain new outfits is by purchasing specific editions of the game, such as the Ultimate or Collector’s Editions, which often include exclusive clothing items.

These special edition outfits may also be available for individual purchase later through the respective platform stores, offering an alternative for players who didn’t opt for the premium versions initially. Beyond these upfront purchases, the game features in-game costume shops that become accessible at certain points in the story.

For example, the shop in Shinjuku East Shopping District unlocks after completing a particular main mission. These shops sell a variety of apparel, ranging from simple t-shirts to more themed attire, which can be bought using the in-game currency, Yen. The availability and range of items in these shops expand as players progress, encouraging exploration and mission completion to uncover new fashion choices.

Once acquired, any owned costume can be easily equipped or changed through the game’s Digivice Agent menu. This lets players switch up their character’s look at their leisure and express their style in the Digital World, without worrying about things like Anomaly Points.

If you’re jumping into Digimon Story Time Stranger and want to change up your look, switching costumes is super straightforward once you’ve actually got a few new threads. You start with your default outfit, obviously, but there are a ton of other options to make your character look exactly how you want.

Once you’ve bought or earned a new costume, whether it was a purchase or a special bonus item, actually changing into it is a snap. All you need to do is open up your Digivice, which is essentially your in-game menu system. Then, navigate over to the “Agent” menu. Inside there, you’ll find a tab specifically for “Costumes.”

Selecting this tab will pull up a full list of every single outfit you currently own. From that list, just pick the costume you want, and boom—your character’s look will update immediately, letting you personalize your journey through Digimon Story: Time Stranger. It’s a system that makes sure players have plenty of ways to express their style as they progress through the main story and all the side missions.
