How Many Boards and Minigames Are in LEGO Party?

By Sadik HossainOctober 4, 20254 Mins Read

LEGO Party is a fun party game where up to four players compete on colorful boards made of LEGO bricks. The main goal is to collect the most Golden Bricks by moving around the board and winning minigames. Players can play with friends online or sit together on the same couch. The game works on all major gaming systems, so everyone can join in no matter what console they own.

The game has different themed boards and lots of minigames to keep things interesting. Each board looks different and has its own special events and surprises. Players can also create their own LEGO character and unlock new parts as they play.

LEGO Party has four boards. The boards are called Pirate, Ninja, Space, and Theme Park. Each board is made completely from LEGO bricks and has its own look and feel. The Theme Park board is the biggest one, built from more than 210,000 tiny LEGO pieces. It has four different areas that all connect to one main spot in the middle.

Each board plays a bit differently from the others. The Space board lets players teleport around and includes alien attacks that can take control of other players. The Ninja board has stuff from the NINJAGO shows and toy sets. The Pirate board feels like a classic ocean adventure, while the Theme Park board has carnival rides and fun attractions. During the game, players can spend their studs to build new paths, create shortcuts, or set up traps for other players.

Different things happen when you land on different spaces. Some spaces give you studs, others start special events, and some let everyone vote on what new buildings get added to the board. This keeps the game feeling fresh even when you play on the same board more than once. The boards also have spots where Mr. Gold hangs out, and you can buy Golden Bricks from him for 50 studs.

How Many Minigames Are in LEGO Party?

LEGO Party has 60 different minigames. They include racing games, jumping challenges, memory games, and rhythm games. After each round on the board, players vote on which minigame they want to play from three choices, or they can pick random. The better you do in a minigame, the more studs you earn. You need these studs to buy Golden Bricks and special power-ups.

With so many minigames, each time you play feels different. Some fan favorites include Bungee Boogie, where you swing around and try to knock other players off a dance floor. In Deep Space Dine, you control a small helicopter and build burgers for alien customers. Dirtbike Dash is a racing game where you ride bikes over bumpy hills. Museum Mayhem makes you run through art galleries while trying not to break valuable vases.

Some minigames can pop up in the middle of board play when you land on special spaces. These are usually 2v2 games called Brick Battles where you team up with another player for a bit. If you win these, you get Golden Bricks right away. The game does a good job of keeping everyone involved even if they get knocked out early, so nobody just sits around watching others play.

Does LEGO Party Offer Replay Value?

The four boards and 60 minigames give you plenty of reasons to keep playing. Random events happen differently each time, the board changes as you play, and playing with different people makes each game unique. You can also make the computer players smarter if you want more challenge. Similar to how crossplay works in multiplayer games like Abiotic Factor, LEGO Party lets friends play together no matter what gaming system they own. The game also has a Minigame Rush mode where you just play minigames back to back without the board part.

Creating your own character adds more fun to the game. You unlock new LEGO minifigures and parts by playing matches and earning special currency called carrots. You start with 46 ready-made minifigures to pick from, but you can eventually unlock up to 400 different characters. This gives you something to work toward each time you play, much like progression systems in other modern games that reward you for sticking with them.

The game costs about $40, which is cheaper than similar party games. You get four different themed boards, 60 fun minigames, and tons of ways to customize your character. Connecting with friends across different platforms is easy, and the simple controls mean anyone can jump in and start playing. So, if you play alone against computer players or with a group of friends, LEGO Party gives you enough stuff to do to keep game nights entertaining.
