The PlayStation blog has updated the most downloaded games on PS5, PS4, and PS VR2 for US & EU; and for PS5, across both regions, Forza Horizon has taken the top spot, followed by Elden Ring: Nightreign for US/Canada; and Clair Obscur for EU.
Surprisingly, Nightreign was only able to get the 5th spot in the EU region. The thing to note here, however, is that Nightreign launched on 30th May, and we are just talking about 2 days’ worth of data here, June will give the right picture when it comes to Nightreign’s performance on PS5 downloads. For Steam, Nightreign has already crossed 1 million sales on day 1.
DOOM: The Dark Ages, which was the other big game release of the month, took the 4th spot in the US region and the 9th spot in the EU region. Oblivion Remastered, which shadow dropped on 22nd April, and had its first full month for numbers, took the 6th spot in US/Canada and the 8th spot in EU.
Coming to PS4 games, Star Wars Battlefront II and Red Dead Redemption 2 took the first two spots in both the regions; while in the case of PS VR2, Ghosts of Tabor and Alien: Rogue Incursion VR took the first spot in the US/Canada and EU regions, respectively. Ghosts of Tabor had an early release in the month on 7th May.
